If you aren't playing vanilla CS, I'd say pick up Source. A huge range of different game types to play.

So if I'm not mistaken this is the general consensus: CS1.6 and CS:CZ if you want a competitive shooter. CS:GO if you want a some what casual shooter with more guns. CS:S if you want some more models in Garry's Mod.

For having fun Source, it has loads of gamemodes and you will find a new map every single match. !.6 for competitive and GO not sure, since it's starting and don't have many players inside.

CZ is the thing you install and then your 1.6 looks ugly
CSS, but I suppose it's your own personal opinion and the one you feel most comfortable playing.
Condition Zero is the best imo, Source is also pretty fun.
