I, like many other people it seems, live/work/go to school with people who claim to be gamers (and dare I say it call themselves 'hardcore'), when they are console fanboys of the highest order, and play nothing but FPSes. It is then like a stab to the stomach (not that I know what that feels like, and it's and emotional pain anyway, and I don't think stomachs have emotions, so that kind of invalidates my point) when they go about calling [i]everybody[/i] noobs, and that they 'pwn all "you faggots". It truly sickens me to the core that they are the kind of people, these loud mouthed people, so cock sure with their heads full'a eyeballs, who use homosexual derogatory terms as often as I use really bad analogies, are the kind of people who end up representing [i]us[/I], the videogaming culture and all its members to the general public. These are the people who if you ask if they have played any good RPGs, they say that rockets are great weapon, these are the people who look upon the PC as some sort of Quasimodo, an ugly thing that cannot play anything. When they saw me playing [i]garry's mod[/i](I'm not saying that gmod is ugly, but compared to some off the more recent games available, well, it's not exactly a nice bed of roses (again with the analogies), plus it was sandbox and construct, so not the most visually pleasing environment(I should of had RP or something, or at least mobenix (or that other great construct map that had railway tracks all the way round, but no trains, plus it had an underground area with a rocket launch area and a place to build planes that had an extendable runway, please somebody tell me what that map is!))) on a frakking [i]laptop from 2006[/i] they go on about how the XBOWX PWN60 beats the crap out of PCs. THIS SADDENS ME GREATLY.

On the contrary, BC2 fanboys tend to yell at non-fanboys less and do not commit themselves to a shitty game. That's like saying Religious terrorists are equal to Financial Terrorists.

I'd agree on BC2 getting boring rather quickly. I've been a BF fan since 1942 and I've loved the games, but BC2 just feels meh honestly. I wish they would release the mod tools instead of being dicks, I could see some really great mods coming from it.
