cant you just set your pets on the orbs?
2 orbs spawn sometimes 3 so you put your pet on 1 then focus target the other and just arcane shot it every once in a while

i usually just have 2 ranged on either side at the back and one on the stage to cover the bombs

Well, you are right with that, but you should know that as an assasination rogue, maintaining high DPS while changing targets alot is olmost impossible because you have to get your deadly poison stacks high before the poisons start procing alot of damage.
im an affliction lock, we're even worse and i still don't have that as much of a problem unless on fast encounters like deathwhisper

Its true though, GS is a big piece of crap that only promotes elitism.
GS should be disabled :P It only gives you a guideline i've seen people with 500 less gearscore then their counterpart doing a good job not wiping, doing good dps and/or not being a dick.
