Can I get some advice on how to Pudge?
shoot where theyre going to be, not where they are
basically its like space invaders
Can I get some advice on how to Pudge?
The hood of defiance (30% spell resistance - stacks with flesh heap) works when you use your poison aura, you should always pick at least the basic one up.
Can I get some advice on how to Pudge?
get hood of defiance/pipe for the hp regen+spell resistance
phase boots is good for making sure that people don't escape your rot
get scepter if you have lots of flesh heap stacks, it helps you lots later in the game
use shift-queue to make sure you get dismember off as soon as you hook
toggling rot doesn't interrupt dismember
hook can be a great way to save teammates from a bad situation
Don't know if getting battlefury first is worth the delay for manta as AM, since in most games I end up getting both without too much trouble.

How do you do that shift queue thing? And does it apply to items like blink dagger?
When you hold shift when doing anything (right-clicking, using QWER), it forms a queue of actions that happen one after another.
Example: Shift-right click to middle of map, shift-Q makes you walk to the middle of the map and use your Q right afterwards.
So for Pudge, shift-Q > shift-R the target hero will make you ult with no window of time left for the enemy to blink off or whatever.
I also find it useful when pushing with Furion/Broodmother in top/bottom due to the L-shaped lanes, I group select and Shift-A+Click to one corner and Shift-A+Click to the base so the minions follow the lane while attacking any enemy minions nearby on the way.
hook someone, then right away hold shift and cast dismember on them
your hero will automatically use dismember on the enemy hero as soon as you're done "reeling" them in
i think it works for items, i know it's super useful to instantly cast echo slam and similar spells right after blinking in
Can anyone offer some Doom Bringer tips/advice/build?
protip : when you go Rikki, and you purchase a Vlads, you should then proceed with taking your PC monitor and ramming it through your fucking skull
Not that it would do much damage with the helmet you are wearing :/
Can anyone offer some Doom Bringer tips/advice/build?
Doombringer's strength is literally his strength. He is built like a brick shithouse, and you're meant to be tough as hell to kill. Generally, items like vanguard or heart go a long way into making you even tankier, but don't disregard getting an early radiance. Please for the love of god, always be eating creeps. His Q is padding for extra gold but that does not mean he doesn't need farm.
Additionally, going mid and scoring a level advantage over your enemy as Doom is a huge deal. Learn to master his slow high-damage auto attacks because he's remarkably good at last hItting if you do it right.
Can anyone offer some Doom Bringer tips/advice/build?
Level up your lvl? death as the enemy levels up, your firewalk skill is really useless early game. Your devour is best used on low life creeps and wolf/centaur neutrals, and your ult on heroes that like to use rainbowtacular escape skills, like storm spirit. Doom also disables any items the enemy may be using, active and passive.
Radiance is a good item and synergizes extremely well with firewalk in the late game. Just don't rush one.
Thanks guys. I'll go give him a try

So one more question about Doom: once you get a hold of a good set of creep abilities like wolf or centaur, do you hold on to them or still use devour on creeps whenever you can?
Don't know if getting battlefury first is worth the delay for manta as AM, since in most games I end up getting both without too much trouble.
If you get battlefury and never get ganked then you should be fine since it just makes you a farming machine
Is vladmir a good item for axe? I just started playing as him, but it seems like a good idea.

Doom keeps whatever passive abilities of a jungle creep you eat. You can have your alpha wolf crits as long as you don't eat another special creep, and you can keep devouring in lane.

nigga dis betta be a joke
Ok so I'm guessing that's a no. Because "No, vladmir is a horrible item on axe" is too hard to type.
You're better off going for a vanguard or blink dagger before Vlad's..?
e: with survival being the goal... pretty much any other melee attack hero will put vladmir's to better use than axe.

I don't get why you would need lifesteal on Axe when 90% of your damage is your spells.
Is it a better idea to beef up solely and only Agility on Luna or should I use a portion to get Perseverance/Bloodstone for health regen? Usually I've gotten perseverance to get some health regen although I've also had use from the Helm of the Dominator in late-game when I have upgraded glaive to the max. JUngle creeps restore health from you with the amount of lifesteal, but in early game a Ring of Health feels almost like a must-have to me.
Could be that I'm just bad.

Does counter-helix trigger lifesteal? If it doesn't, not getting lifesteal would make more sense.

I'm don't play Axe often, but I'm fairly sure it doesn't.
What's a good build for templar assassin?
What's a good build for templar assassin?
Skill build starts pretty flexible
Meld can dodge an attack/do a crapton of damage
Refraction can stop a first blood attempt
An early point of Psi-Blade helps you lane and harass, but if you don't position well you can push the lane out too far.
I usually either take 1 point in Psi-Blade early or leave it entirely to skill last
Then I usually put two points in Refraction and one in Meld by Level 4.
Then finish maxing Refraction, Meld, and Psi-Blade.
Ult is taken when possible.
As for items I start out with something like 3 Iron Branches, Slippers of Agility, Tango, and Salve.
I've tried getting a Clarity but I've never seemed to need it and prefer to just get an early bottle.
Then I get boots and a Magic Wand (I normally don't like getting Bottle and Wand but it seems to work nicely for her).
For upgraded boots you can get Treads but I think Phase are much better.
Then you want to get some armor reduction (Medallion or Desolator) and a Blink Dagger to help with Meld hits and escaping.
Late game items are pretty basic. Butterfly, MKB, Assault Curaiss, Daedalus, BKB if necessary, etc. etc.

Seems reasonable, Luna's a little squishy.
[editline]19th July 2012[/editline]
Just had a look on DotaFire, two of their guides for Luna actually recommend a Helm of the Dominator as a core item for Luna, and one has a Heart of Tarrasque listed as a luxury item.
It makes a lot of sense as Luna is rather fragile after all.

Helm is also great because you can use it to stack ancients and then farm them with Glaives
A BKB is also a must if the enemies have even a small amount of disables/nukes.

Yeah, Luna is pretty much prime quality rump steak for any nuker.

thanks, It felt somewhat hard to start off before this, i tend to either quickly grab the bottle so I don't spend much on slaves and healing gear when I have 1 that refills everytime I base back, then work on boots, upgraded power threads, then work on desolator then Daedalus... I have my mind focus on doing damage because that's what she deals with a lot with the bonus damages for a powerful hit and run based character like riki for example.
Why is Phase boots recommended for Lich and not Arcane Boots?
