Shrapnel works a bit for area control, people tend to avoid it although it does nearly nothing.
48 (damage) X 9 (Instances) = 432 432 x .75 (Base resistance of 25%) = 324 So yeah, the damage isn't that relevant. Useful versus TA, though. It's mostly used for the 30% slow and for tower pushing. It still scales better then head shot, though. [editline]6th September 2012[/editline] You know, Eblade wouldn't be that bad on sniper. at level 16, assassinate does 655. Now let's assume sniper has Strength Treads and a Ethereal Blade. His agility would be as follows; 21 + Stat Gain (2.9 x 15) + 40 + Stat Level (2) = 144.5 Therefore, Ether-blast would do: 75 + (144.5 x 2) = 364 ([364 + 655] * 1.40) * .75 = 1069 damage, which is not bad at all. Enough to burst down any support hero at that point in the game. In addition, it has really good stats. The Int is a little irrelevant on Sniper, but +10 str and a whopping +40 agi? Not so much. If you build a Bfly afterwords, Etherblast does even more damage. [editline]6th September 2012[/editline] brb gonna try this in a bot game. [editline]6th September 2012[/editline] It works okay. Only recommended if the enemy doens't have singletarget magical nuke/stuns, though.
eblade ogre best ogre
eblade is also amazing on tinker
eblade is also amazing on tinker
It could be if Laser did magic damage. You are much much better off with a orchid on tinker.
is eblade even worth it on any hero other than morrphling? sure seems to lean in his favor only.
is eblade even worth it on any hero other than morrphling? sure seems to lean in his favor only.
The way I see it, pretty much. You get the Eblade for the shotgun and the Linken to block the shitton of magic damage coming your way.
is eblade even worth it on any hero other than morrphling? sure seems to lean in his favor only.
Makes sense on Nyx too, being an agility hero that gets most of his damage from nukes, and that's about it People say it's good on Luna but I tried it in a game with friends where I got extremely fed against a team of all squishy units and I can't say I was a big fan of it.

The magic damage is just a bonus. Any Agi hero with a nuke can get some use out of it, simply because it gives so much in the way of stats and can be disassembled to make a butterfly in the really late game.
is eblade even worth it on any hero other than morrphling? sure seems to lean in his favor only.
Works nicely on Nyx if you go more of a carry build, and sometimes it also works on squishy carries where you'd like a ghost scepter (Shadow Fiend for example), but it's not optimal.
eblade on gyro :V
eblade on gyro :V
I've seen it done before. Fucking scary I tell you what.
I've seen it done before. Fucking scary I tell you what.
it is. Eblade someone who is alone, then use your Q.
So okay. I've been playing single draft a lot lately and it made me try Broodmother. While I had a lot of fun playing her, there was one thing that fucked me over: The spiderlings. They kept blocking me from attacking which fucked over some last hits and kills. Is it worth getting Phase Boots for that reason? I played with the suggested items, but I think a build like Ring of Aquila, Basillus, Phase Boots, Manta Style and Vladimir's Offering, if the spiderlings get the aura as well, would work very well. Any tips?

Also you didn't mention Soul Ring and that's absolutely necessary on her, I've never seen her played successfully without it. Second of all I've seen some pros get Phase Boots and it's an interesting build, but the problem is you're already ridiculously fast in your webs, you lose invisibility if you use them, and they don't get you the nice DPS and survivability that Treads give you. You may just want to practice microing the spiderlings more. And yeah Manta is my favorite item on Brood. Something like that and BKB are pretty good, with maybe Butterfly or other carry items after.

I just noticed, that I totally mixed up Basillus with Soul Ring for some reason, I extra looked up my last game just to find out that I had Soul Ring and Aquila. Sorry, derped pretty hard right there. And you're probably right, I should just manage my Spiderlings better. I should probably try to block the enemies and then whack away at them. Especially being able to switch to Strength might save my ass a few times. Something I'd certainly miss with Phase Boots. And that Soul Ring / Basillus fuck up... I really should be ashamed of myself.
Which would you guys get on Warlock first, the refresher orb or the scepter? I feel like having that double stun could really sway team fights in your favor because the AOE is just ridiculously big, though the reduced bounty and being less mana intensive is also help.

Do you want more push? Scepter probably, more team fight, a refresher would be better to pick up then.

I always see warlock get both but the golems just melt away in a teamfight and if they had that much gold a good disable would have been a better help.
stack intelligence forever, the higher your intelligence the more likely you are to cause a 5 man teamwipe with your ult
I did this for the first time the other day. All game we'd been on the worse end of teamfights, usually trading 3 for 2. Suddenly, I realised I had over 200int. I asked our Enigma to be amazing, and he landed a blackhole on 4 people. I would have had a rampage if they didn't have an aegis. :'(
I asked our Enigma to be amazing
:v:
I think I've just found something very fun, doesn't mean it has to be good, but fun. You go anti-mage, go your standard build until you completed your manta. After manta you build an etheral blade. Just imagine burning some poor heros mana to hell, then doing etheral blade + ult. I think it has potential to be very devastating.

I just found out how to counter a laning axe spamming his battle hunger. Get that shitty little healing creep and cast that 5 heal every motherfucking second.
not really a lane combo, but like a gank/team fight combo tiny toss omni at peeps, with degen tiny and other have time to pop up, massive damage. it seems feasible if omni is tough enough to withstand the counter.
"What need have I for such a blade?"
It could be an interesting option, a lot of farm for something a bit out of the ordinary, though. However, it would be funny to burn all a caster's mana, ethereal then take them out from half-health.
Orchid is a particularly nasty luxury item on Spirit Breaker. The only thing that might save somebody from your stunlock would be a spell. Orchid takes that away from them.
The only thing that might save somebody from your stunlock would be a spell.
Or a BKB.
An advice i dont see any Tinkers do, when you get your Boots of travel, SPAM YOUR HEATSEEKING ROCKETS, they do wonders on early/mid they have a shitload of range and keep the enemy on their toes.
I recommend Skull basher on Ursa after Boots. Spares you the dagger.
Any tips for Sniper? He seems to be too squishy for me at start.
