Do you mean Kodo?
Yes! Bad memory, sorry :c
as drow, i usually put my first point in frost arrows (for orbwalk), then like three points of stats, one silence, and finally the ult at level 6. basically i'm putting together a ranger that has like a three or four level stat advantage over other heroes during early game, and throwing points into trueshot aura during midgame where i feel like it'll really come to life. i dont think ive seen anyone do this, and sometimes i get comments like "sweet jesus your damage is high" at level five. is this a good idea or am i hurting the team?
Really depends on the team. If you have enough disables, and you want to help out early game instead of afk farming, then stats is much better than aura early game. If you have a bunch of ranged heroes, the aura would help them out as well.
When would be a safe time to gank as CK? As in minimum level/items.
When would be a safe time to gank as CK? As in minimum level/items.
From what I've read, after getting your bottle and power treads.
CK and Gyro looks really fun to play. Any tips for them?
I tried Morphling for the first time today. I don't think I did so well, though. I levelled up his 3 and 4 skill, then 2, then 3 and 4, then 1, and did that (obviously ults at 6 11 and 16), and on him I had treads, ring of aquila, and preservence (round ended before I could make it into Linken's Sphere). This is probably really really bad. Can I get some tips on skill and item build, and what I should be doing/able to do in early, mid, and late game?

Because that's not good. It's a great escape mechanism, initiation, and damage source. Adaptive Strike is taken last because it's based on your stats and as a result becomes viable later.
How does one become good with Tinker? I seriously suck dicks at this game, but I seem to do best with Tinker in all cases.
How does one become good with Tinker? I seriously suck dicks at this game, but I seem to do best with Tinker in all cases.
you need to farm up Boots of Travel and get your ulti up as quickly as you can. proceed to farm every lane at once by doing March, Rearm, March, then BoT back to the fountain, rearm with the fountain mana and do it again in the next lane.
you need to farm up Boots of Travel and get your ulti up as quickly as you can. proceed to farm every lane at once by doing March, Rearm, March, then BoT back to the fountain, rearm with the fountain mana and do it again in the next lane.
So after doing this, I love Tinker now. After I get my march maxed out, and rearm to two I usually put a few points into the other skills then go for INT and damage. Is that a good strategy? Also, should I buy whatever item in the shop grants me the best stat boost whenever possible? I know almost nothing about this game, but I'd really love to get into it more.
What most effectively counters a Silencer in lane? I hate laning against him, and eventually not even having mana for a TP Scroll.
Pro as heck guide to Tinker:
Skill Build: Lvl 1-8: Max Missile/Laser * Lvl 9: Rearm Lvl 10-13: March of the Machines Lvl 14: Rearm Lvl 15: Stats Lvl 16: Rearm
* Technically you don't get Rearm and March of the Machines until you have Boots of Travel. You can swap the skills around depending on when ever you get the Boots.
Item Build: Bottle - Boots - ( Soul Ring / Bracer )* - Boots Of Travel - ( Force Staff)* - Scythe of Vice - Black King Bar - Shiva's Guard - Situationals
* After getting your boots you can get a Bracer if times are rough. You can also get a Soul Ring if you're planning on ganking a lot since its really useful, however its required - its up to you to decide whether to get it before or after Boots of Travel. Getting Anything else before BoT slow you down too much however. * Force Staff is a really good item as it helps you run away from people that gank you. Except to see people setting up traps on lanes that they expect you to TP to and push. Its also good for its general usefulness Playstyle: If you go mid you you need to start ganking when you've gotten some levels on your Laser and Rockets. Since you will have a good level advantage over the other lanes you should be able to kill squishies by yourself and pretty much everything else with the help of your allies on that lane. Killing people early game: When ganking early on, walk up to your enemy so you get inrange for Laser, shoots ROCKETS first then instantly Laser them. This way the two spells will hit at almost the same time, leaving your enemy with less time to react. Pushing Lanes( With BoT and Soul Ring): Before doing anything you need to know where everyone is. If you see 4 enemies bot lane and one mid then you have to decide - Do you teleport and push top or do you teleport bot and help defend. If you think your team can manage defending in that situation then you go and do the following: Teleport to friendly Creep - Walk a few steps below the creep wave and activate March of the Machines so it hits it from a slight angle( This way your robots have a bigger chance to actually hit the creeps than if you cast it straight at the wave - Activate Soul Ring - Rearm - March of the Machines - Soul Ring/Bottle if needed - Teleport out - Rearm Killing people late game: When you have your Scythe ready you can kill any hero 1v1(provided you can click on him before he escapes). If you see someone trying to defend a tower alone or just trying to push you can try to kill them. Always rearm at fountain as you will need the mana when ganking - If you get to the enemy unnoticed open up on him: Hex - Laser - Rockets - Soul Ring - Bottle - Rearm - Hex - Repeat. If you have your Shiva's active it as well. Item choices in late game: Tinker doesn't need item that make him a tanky, you need items that you can refresh and use. Good items should be a BKB( Versus a lot of stuns/nukes ), Ghost Scepter/Ethereal Blade ( Versus fed agility heroes ), Manta ( Gives good stats + lods of illusions ). A special mention goes for Dagon. Getting a Dagon right after Boots will make any Tinker a killing machine. Your rockets/laser combo already hurts like hell and adding a Dagon to the mix will pretty much ensure you getting a kill on pretty much anyone who isn't magic immune. Don't get carried away with upgrading it though since first you need your Scythe. And there you go.
Could I get some advice on a jungling Furion? I start off with a tango, two clarities, and a quelling blade, and level up my treants. Then I level up my tp, then treants, then sprout, then tp, then ult, then max my sprouts. After that I, I usually max my tp. From here to level 16, is it a bad idea to level up my stats? And for my mid/late game item build, I usually have Ring of Aquila and Aghanim's, and then build a Desolator. I'll probably get yelled at for doing that. What should I build item wise, and is my skill set okay?

Tried skull basher and built into abyssal for Ursa, good idea? [editline]let the bass cannon kick it[/editline] Was thinking initiating with abyssal's active, then overpower for perma-stun, works well, but are there better items to build lategame?
dont ever get quelling blade on ranged heroes, youd be better off just buying a few branches [editline]13th June 2012[/editline] max tp and treants first with an early level in sprout, max sprout last. oh and only build aghanims on furion if youve agreed on a ridiculous push strat with your team and plan on ending the game in 20 minutes or less, else all it does is fuck up lane equilibrium so your team hates you
You might build it if you are getting into mid game and loosing the lanes, though. But that should never happen unless your teammates are fully retarded if you are doing your job right. [editline]14th June 2012[/editline] Possible items to rush for Prophet- Midas - The common pub build, but to use it effectively takes commitment. You will have to rush it like hell, before even getting any (upgraded) boots for it to be effective. Not recommended for those who are not up to the task of a 600+ gpm. Orchid - A great item on furion. Makes him a effective ganker in the early-mid game when combined with upgraded boots (Treads are recommended, but Phase could also suffice) Necro Book - An all around great item, getting a quick Necro-3 will make you a unstoppable pushing force and a monster in team fights. My personal favorite.
So then what do you do in teamfights? Sprout + Orchid on the focus in the fight, and then what? Autoattack them to death? You could make the sprout into treants, I guess, but what after that?
Yeah, just use treants to block enemy and deal damage, sprout their melees or whoever is running away or the pathway out, and just right click them to death. If anyone is escaping, ult NOT ON THEM (unless it's guaranteed kill) and it'll get them most of the time, otherwise just TP infront of them. Also I normally max TP soon after Treants, just because of the crazy mobility it gives you. Too many furions sit in the jungle, letting their huge gank potential go to waste.
Finally sucked it up and tried Beastmaster. He's fun as hell and I love that stun, but I'm having trouble microing all his animals + necronomicon summons. Any tips?

So I recently picked up Shadow Fiend. What I usually do is go top or bottom (middle if we have no other choice) I level up skills Q W Q W Q W R Q W E E R E E stats I get Power Threads first, then Blink Dagger, after that Black King Bar, then Monkey King Bar, if the game hasn't already ended I get Butterfly then Assault Cuircass. Should I change anything? Am I supposed to be middle always? Do I suck? Does my build suck?
Pro as heck guide to Shadow Fiend:
Skill Build: Level 1: Necromastery Level 2: Shadowraze Level 3: Shadowraze/Necromastery Level 4: Necromastery/Shadowraze Level 5: Shadowraze/Necromastery Level 6: Necromastery/Shadowraze Level 7: Shadowraze Level 8: Necromastery Level 9: Requiem of Souls/Stats Level 10: Stats/Requiem of Souls Level 11: Requiem of Souls Level 12: Stats/Presence of the Dark Lord Level 13: Stats/Presence of the Dark Lord Level 14: Stats/Presence of the Dark Lord Level 15: Stats/Presence of the Dark Lord Level 16: Requiem of Souls Level 17-25: Stats
* Always take the next level of Necromastery when you are about to max out your souls. On level 10 you can take an early level of Presence but stats usually work for you better, since Presents really shines when maxed out. Starting
Item Build: Starting Items: Tango - Potion - Slippers Of Agility - Circlet - GG Branch After that: Ring Of Aquila - Boots - ( Bottle )* - Power Threads - (Blink Dagger / Shadow Blade)* - Black King Bar - Manta - Desolator / Satanic / Eye Of Scadi - Butterfly
* If you're the one calling the shots on Mid Lane and you have a ward up on a rune spot (or youre pretty sure that you can get to runes) you can pick up a bottle. Bottle lets you gank other lanes for easy kills as well as give you HP and Mana ( So you can spam more Razes) * The choice between BD or SB is simple : If the enemy is any good they will take anti invis which means you're screwed if you got the Blade. Furthermore getting a Dagger is a lot cheeper and generally easier to use. Simply put, Shadow Blade is better in pub games where people wont really pay you any mind untill you start raping them. If you can farm it in under 16-18 minutes then go ahead. Playstyle: Preferably you should go mid since you get the most EXP and Farm there. Do not bother harassing until you have atleast lvl 1 Necromastery's souls maxed out. Remember that denies count as souls too. Do not be afraid to last hit groups of enemies with a Raze if you see the opportunity to do so. It would be optimal if you could hit the enemy laner and get a last hit with a Raze, of course. Once you get your Ring of Aquila you should be more comfortable with using Razes. Try to gank at lvl 7 when you've maxed out your Necromastery Souls, or when you spot a good ganking rune ( Invisibility / Double Dmg / Haste ). The earlier you max out your souls the stronger you'll be compared to other lanes. In some cases you can even kill enemy heroes in 3-4 auto attacks. Teamfights: If you have BKB you do the following: Turn BKB on > walk in the middle of enemy heroes > R > Kill the lowest hero and switch focus to carries and/or people that need to die. If you dont have BKB yet then it gets a little tricky. People will fear your ult, especially when you're maxed out on souls. You'll be able to instagib someone if you ult ontop of his face and the enemy knows that, which in turn means that they will do what ever they can to stop you. What you should do in that situation is either come in late, after all the stuns have been popped or wait for someone to set everything up for you ( Enigma ult, Puck ult, Tide ult etc). Don't use it as a finishing move, but rather as an initiation move - heroes hit by your Requiems have their DMG lowered by 25% as well as their movespeed, if you just lasthit someone with that you're wasting the ult's potential. Lategame role: Nevermore isnt really a right click hero, but you can definitively become one if farmed/fed enough. Managing your souls later in the game can become a nuisance but always have them maxed before teamfight as Nevermore doesn't have anything that lets him scale good to lategame. Try win early-mid game for your team as you will lose to other carries in late game. If you have no other carries that could scale better than you, stock up on right click items such as a Butterfly and Desolator. Otherwise you should focus on more surviveability - Manta and Helm of Dominator/Satanic are excellent items that prolong your life and thus your damage output in a teamfight. Good luck and never say never... more.

Im in love with Beast too, no mana problems, high attack speed, and with necro he can keep up with the fleeing enemies and have true sight
I tried silencer, I did good but still a bit clueless about what items I should get mid/late game Last game I bought these Circlet Power treads Magic wand Shiva's guard Scythe of the vise

With most people I can just use my bind for "Select all other units", click attack, and use abilities if need be. However, with his hawk that's obviously an issue. Control groups are a bit of a puzzle for me since I use number keys for items.
For Silencer, you should get a force staff as it can get you out of sticky situations, or allow you to catch up to fleeing enemies. If you're the support, then you might want to get a mek. Linkens, shivas, scythe, orchid are good luxuries.
