force staff is the best silencer item, as it gives him a much needed escape mechanism and mobility, which he lacks, as well as decent stats. it isnt expensive either [editline]15th June 2012[/editline] I always have serious mana issues with CK, should I build a wand to help me on that?

I always go mid with bottle rush as CK.
any tips on the clinkz skeleton?how would you play him? and why isnt he used in comp, in a team with stunners like tide, disablers like shaman and enigma?
any tips on the clinkz skeleton?how would you play him? and why isnt he used in comp, in a team with stunners like tide, disablers like shaman and enigma?
He's used occasionally in comp, generally with some pushers because searing arrows can bulldoze through towers.
I think this is an OK Broodmother build but what else is good to build on her?
I think this is an OK Broodmother build but what else is good to build on her?
MKB if you're against any kind of Evasion. Heart if you're in a close game and you need shitton of health to push. Boots of Travel can be pretty funny too.
any tips on the clinkz skeleton?how would you play him? and why isnt he used in comp, in a team with stunners like tide, disablers like shaman and enigma?
Skill order is max searing arrows first, get a point in E at 2, and a point in Q at 4. Get ult at 6 (the secret is that it's a heal), 11 and 16. Max E second (the movespeed boost is insane) and max Q last. Item order is, at first get a medallion for armour and mana regen, as well as damage when you gank. Boots should be power treads but they can be phase if you so desire. Get Orchid, lets you spam fire arrows forever and makes for a shitbrix gank. After that, depending on how well you are going, get BKB if you need tankiness or Daedalus/Butterfly if you don't. Replace Daedalus/Butterfly with an MKB if the enemies have disables. Remember that you take down towers in about 2 seconds.
Out of curiosity, since I've only played Anti-Mage once... (but did well!) Why does everyone build skullbasher on him? He has a crazy attack speed, so isn't MKB better on him? Especially if you have Manta, since Mini-bash works with illusions last time I checked. I decided to build MKB instead of basher since we were playing against riki, and it worked wonderfully.
Is a Quelling Blade good on Kunkka? I know it wasn't allowed in Dota 1 but last time I checked it works on him in Dota 2 and it seems like it could be pretty crazy.

For an antimage thats chasing, people usually want the target to be frozen for a longer time. [editline]16th June 2012[/editline] And it's cheaper.

I have new found love for Venomancer. I recently played a test game with him with bots, and actually won my first game in doing so. (Yeah, it was with bots. But I am new.) The gear I had at the end of the game was: Power treads Wraith band Agahnims scepter Ring of Aquila (I accidentally made this. Not sure how.) Shadow Blade Teleport scrolls Most of my tactics were centered around trying to support my teammates whenever they pushed (Which is hard to do considering the fact that the bots like to call out a push then leave right as they actually get to that lane.) but I'd really like some pointers on how to be a good Venomancer.

I really don't like Shadow Blade in general though. It can work on bad players who don't buy dust and sentry wards but I think it's a poor thing to rely on, although it can pay off if you use it to initiate, gank, and escape. I prefer Force Staff on him and play him as a secondary, utility support. It gives you some much needed intelligence since your ult strains your mana pool pretty heavily. It's also helps you initiate with your ult, or escape after using it, and your teammates will love you if you can use it to full effectiveness by helping them escape or throwing enemies out of position. Overall, one of the greatest utility items in the game. Then after that I usually go for Aghs since your ult is your bread and butter, especially later on, but unless you have lots of supports make sure you're buying wards, dust, etc. He can be played as a semi-carry, however, getting something like Aghs, possibly some sort of initiation item, and maybe a Manta Style or Butterfly, but try not to do this too often. Also no matter what build you do as him, always get at least one point in your plague wards by Level 4. Don't use Level 1 and 2 plague wards in lane too much because they'll just give your enemies easy gold, but they provide great and cheap vision. For instance, if I'm on the hard lane I love to pop one in the enemy jungle to prevent ganks, and save Observer Wards for other areas. And you can probably get Gale at Level 1 each build as well since it's almost a guaranteed first blood, or a way to help you escape a first blood attempt.
Skill order is max searing arrows first, get a point in E at 2
and what happens if you get ganked at level one?? you skill when the first creep wave clash, not before
and what happens if you get ganked at level one?? you skill when the first creep wave clash, not before
It does make last hitting a million times easier the earlier you get searing arrows though, Clinkz' damage and aa animation are both terrible.
It does make last hitting a million times easier the earlier you get searing arrows though, Clinkz' damage and aa animation are both terrible.
You're missing his point. Yes, searing arrows early is good for harass/last-hitting but if the enemy makes a very early first blood attempt and you don't have skeleton walk then you've just died and started off terribly. That's why you wait and see if you need it right away, or if you can safely take your arrows and get it later.
So as far as CK goes, do the majority of you play him as a carry or semi-carry ganker?
So as far as CK goes, do the majority of you play him as a carry or semi-carry ganker?
I think hes more mid game. Early game hes not much, mid game he is able to kill ANYONE in 1v1 if he has a few items. Late game depends on how much farm he has, level (yup), ally heros, enemy heros. So ganker.
how do I kunkka
how do I kunkka
Stack as much damage as you can, disregard anything that doesn't give you Strength or Attack damage.

After the initial stuns, he just ults, blink strikes onto the carry and their hp will just melt away. [editline]18th June 2012[/editline] Especially if they get stuck in the illusions.
Shadow blade is an item made for kunkka, the extra damage when coming out of the invis is applied to tidebringer's splash and the speed burst is great for positioning.
Shadow blade is an item made for kunkka, the extra damage when coming out of the invis is applied to tidebringer's splash and the speed burst is great for positioning.
Be judicious in buying it, though. If the enemy team has a Slardar or Bounty, you might just be better off getting a damage or tanking item, like a Daedalus or Heart. My usual Kunkka build is Phase+Bfury (The cleave stacks with Tidebringer, and lets you farm extremely quickly. It's also a very cost-effective item for giving you good damage and some much needed mana regen.) and then farming up a Shadowblade. Depending on how the game is going, I either go for Heart or Daedalus next.
wouldnt treads be better? also, how can I have an idea of how to hit his boat?
Many people confuse Kunkka with a carry, well guess what, hes not. He is a (AOE)Burst Damage hero. The attack speed of the Treads is completely wasted on Kunkka, dont get anything that involves attack speed, just get damage and strenght. The idea with Kunkka is to hit like a beast and disable the enemy, leaving them squishy for your team to finish. Also, he doesnt scale well into late game so you want to finish fast unless you have enough money to buy 2-3 divine raipers and plan to 1 hit the enemy team with splash.

Boat looses it's bite, sure. But when you are dealing that much of damage, who cares about a hard to land 2 second stun?
