The way backtrack actually works is that Void gets healed by the equal amount just before the attack hits, (we talking about microseconds here) so it isn't actually an evasion, it's damage mitigation.
Maybe, with the recipe cost increase, it is going to harder to build on supports! It's always around 1000 gold when I need to buy wards or get ganked! >:(
Quarterstaff is 900 as it is. That's a pretty minor increase. You also still have to pay 1k for the staff of wizardry. If anything I think its easier because you can just pull your tranquil boots apart to throw it together and rebuild them.

It only works that way in Warcraft 3 iirc. In Dota2, the damage is completely ignored.
New last word sounds interesting, and I'm glad that exorcism has more spirits now
So what was in the latest dota 2 update if it wasn't this patch?

G-1 ticket.
Holy shit Meepos buff is retarded. I can see that been tweaked next update.
Oh god. I just realized. Last word someone and ult. 12 seconds of silence. 6 seconds of disarm. Until that person gets a bkb.
Jesus Christ.

ult goes through bkb
ult goes through bkb
I know, but they can bkb away the last word so they don't get the [del]disable.[/del] disarm.
I don't know man, i feel like the old last word was more useful/annoying in team fights. This new skill should have replaced his curse of the silent.
I think they should make silencers intelligence steal retroactive like pudge's stacks.
I think they should make silencers intelligence steal retroactive like pudge's stacks.
Wouldn't make much sense though because you're stealing it, not stacking it later
I think they should make silencers intelligence steal retroactive like pudge's stacks.
why arent you taking glaives early in the first place
why arent you taking glaives early in the first place
Taking glaives early is one of the worst things you could do. The damage it provides is pathetic. At level 11 with glaives maxed, you do around 89 + 35 pure damage with glaives. (with around 5 attacks per 4 seconds)
Silencers Q on the other hand at max level does 300 damage after magical resistances (400 before) in an AOE and his new E will do around 250 (targeted) assuming it's damage is magical.
You should only put one level into glaives. Any more and you're wasting potential.
Why would you not take near-free pure damage? Regardless of how little it is.
because of how little it is.
Why would you not take near-free pure damage? Regardless of how little it is.
Because the idea is that your other skills are more valuable in terms of raw DPS/numbers, utility or synergy when you hold them up in comparison of net effect. You can max your Glaives later to a greater effect.
It's like asking why not max Chain Lightning before Static Field. You get a greater net utility, since earlier on you have less mana to use to capitalize on a more costly CL, while SF is consistently useful.
it's like saying to get od's orb first before astral.
I would say that putting one level in it, is worth doing since you can get free harass with it in lane (if you don't right click them). Although I would say that this isn't valid for someone like OD, since his orb costs a lot of mana(100), while silencer's only costs 15.
Why would you not take near-free pure damage? Regardless of how little it is.
because it's not "free" if you're sacrificing your other, much better skills for it
A small update:

- Fixed a bug with Spirit Lance that would cause kills done by it to be considered suicides

How is that a bug? You get killed by a floaty ball that generates an illusion. But if its an illusion it doesn't exist, ergo you kill yourself.
Yeah i know, bad joke.
Also Silencer's W is useful for that little bit of extra damage early game since Q is way more useful while laning.
oh good trueshot aura can be turned on/off. NOW IF ONLY YOU COULD DO THAT WITH VENGEFUL SPIRIT'S PASSIVE...
oh good trueshot aura can be turned on/off. NOW IF ONLY YOU COULD DO THAT WITH VENGEFUL SPIRIT'S PASSIVE...
Or necro's passive.
but why would you want to turn those off?
but why would you want to turn those off?
Unintentional lane pushing
Same as with Skeleton King's vamp aura, they force the lane to push
They would be turned off for creeps only that is
I still maintain that allowing toggling of all auras would be an unwarranted buff, and in some cases might even break things.
I was just testing the Silencer buff and I must say I really miss Last Word, it was such a good skill, curse of the silent should have been changed :c

Yeah how dare they remove a gimmicky skill that was useful only against a small subset of heroes in favour of giving him a fucking 690 damage nuke??
