Anyone know where to find some fucking beavers or what.
Also, that part where you first go into Mexico and that song starts playing, was probably the best gaming moment ever for me.
I got his album. He is awesome.
God this game is awesome. Sometimes I do feel like a dick though when I have to shoot everyone instead of letting them go. ): If I save a guy from robbers, I have to shoot him too otherwise he'll see me shooting the guys randomly coming down the road and then he'll call the police and it'll be an annoyance I don't want to deal with. Is it difficult to go from really dishonorable to honorable?
What is the fastest way to increase fame?
I'll start caring when they release it to the rest of us.
I used to try to always lasso crooks, but I've found it's starting to be more trouble than it's worth and started just shooting them. Does this affect my honor in any way?
Nope, you can just blow criminals away however you deem necessary.
When will all the cheats be released goddamnit.
What is the fastest way to increase fame?
Cheat and get caught at Poker, you'll be challenged to a duel every time you get caught. When the duel takes place, don't kill them, but shoot them in the left hand (Right for them) so they lose their gun but don't die. Killing = +50 fame. Disarming = +100 fame.
Take your dogs for walks, you can lasoo them and see where they take you mine took me down to the ground >:
Is there any way of being able to carry more ammo for revolvers/pistols, like the bandoleer?
Is there any way of being able to carry more ammo for revolvers/pistols, like the bandoleer?
You can buy a bandolier. You can buy it really early on though so you don't really notice a difference in the amount of ammo you carry.
You can buy a bandolier. You can buy it really early on though so you don't really notice a difference in the amount of ammo you carry.
I thought the bandoleer only changes the ammo capacity of repeaters and rifles though?
I thought the bandoleer only changes the ammo capacity of repeaters and rifles though?
Oh right. I didn't read the information in the store because it was so cheap.
Where did the fucking subforum go
I just went on the Rockstar Social Club website and it said in my stats that I had obtained unlocks Turns out when you claim you unlock you get given cheats I just got:

Increase Bounty cheat - Raise your bounty immediately.
Bad Guy cheat - Grant yourself the lowest honor.
So-so Guy cheat - Give yourself a neutral honor.
Change Weather cheat - Cycle through the weather.
Donkey Rider cheat - Spawn a donkey to ride.
Dead Eye Level 1 - Reset your Dead Eye to level 1.
Dead Eye Level 2 - Reset your Dead Eye to level 2.

It doesn't give you the codes. It just adds them to your list of cheats in the game.
You know there will be DLC right? Maybe that will add to it...? And thought of a sequel maybe? Anyway, I loved the ending, I don't see a reason to be angry. That said, does leave me feeling a little... empty, but it's good regardless. :/
Well they've gone down that route now and i will not accept a DLC that somewhow magically changes everything. I'll get over it i guess...[sp] i normally don't give a shit about video games this much, but damn, rockstar did such an excellent job at making John such a likeable character. After spending a good 20 hours playing as him i just hate the fact they shot him up and forced us to play as his two-bit son. That's my only problem. [/sp]
Wow what a shitty ending. (spoilers in case you don't realise, if you haven't finished the game don't look) [sp]I was hoping that John would have the gatling gun in that barn, and when he burst through the doors he would go into dead eye and we would shoot every one of those fuckers, but no, Rockstar decided to be diiicks. Anyway, how do I kill Ross?[/sp]
I agree, i'm upset with the ending [sp] when i went into dead eye i had my mauser and i hit pretty much every soldier there, and ross, but the game doesn't care, there's no way to escape. To Kill ross go down into Blackwater and take the stranger mission "remember my family". You go down to speak with his wife, who tells you where he is, and you then duel him later. Good luck. I murdered his wife and his brother, then him, just as some payback for Uncle and Mom :P [/sp]
Me and a friend are playing free roam, and griefing everyone so that they leave the servers. Yesterday we got two germans and two french to leave, by riding our horses into them and throwing dynamite.

It adds more emotion to it, I myself felt kinda fucking sad when it happened. [sp]But if they had a character you didn't feel close to, and he died, you wouldn't give a flying fuck would you?[/sp] They took more of a movie story route, rather than the traditional HAPPY ENDING route, which I prefer to be honest.

Yesterday we got two germans and two french to leave, by riding our horses into them and throwing dynamite.
You are the reason behind all the raging on free roam. Seriously, people like you who just run around griefing are the most pathetic bunches of human waste on the planet. So childish...
You are the reason behind all the raging on free roam. Seriously, people like you who just run around griefing are the most pathetic bunches of human waste on the planet. That said though, the griefers are annoying. :/

Might have something to do with your honor though.
What i usually do is to kill every witness i can find.

DO NOT READ THE BELOW IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN PAST THE CREDITS. It was emotional yeah, but for me, they went wrong. [sp]No, i'm really happy with the game up to that point. Seriously was probably one of the best narratives i've been mature enough to understand. Sure i played Half Life but i was younger and story wasn't so important back then. But, with RDR, I wouldn't be so annoyed if it had been a movie, but as a game you are playing the protaganist yourself, you are controlling their actions through you, and i guess, I obviously really like that character, and i'm pissed that he died; Because in a way, to me, those 20 hours I spent playing as John now have no bearing on the game world; all the people I saved, duels, bounties, missions, Strangers, everything, it died with John; it was John not Jack, i guess that's why i'm annoyed, it kind of removes the whole rest of the game for me, it started with John and i wanted it to end with John. It would be like killing off Niko in GTA 4 and making you play as his estranged Son. I'd have preferred little Jack to have gotten shot, or his wife, because in all honesty, i DONT give a flying fuck about them; because i've spent the whole game fighting John's story, if his son died, i wouldn't even bat an eyelid, i'd go back to being John. The idea of forcing this new protagonist on the player, after spending the entire game with another is just wrong to me, and i'm making a big deal of it, but i wish someone had told me to just not finish the game, because i don't know if i can carry on playing it. Such a nerd rage but the immersion has gone for me. [/sp]

[/sp]
I agree that having a different character is odd after having played the whole game with another, but it worked very well, it got what they wanted, emotion. Yes, it does feel odd, but it does add a whole new level to the story, and it's pretty daring, seeing as I don't think I've seen another game do something like this, so, kudos to them for that. [sp]Not only that though, but it makes it more realistic in a way, that crimes like his, don't just disappear, and he paid for it, he didn't get away like a movie where they live happily ever after.[/sp] [sp]Lastly, it also adds depth to everything. Everything John quoted, said about how you can't get away from your past and everything is paid for in the end.[/sp] [sp]Jack getting revenge, is REALLY the "Redemption" in Red Dead Redemption. [/sp]

[/sp]
[sp]I understand what your saying, but i still just don't like it. The "redemption" for me was Marston trying to change his life, and redeem himself. Sure you can never get away from these things but i just don't agree with killing him. I felt i atoned Marston for some sins; i didn't kill De Santa or the President, Escuella, or Williamson, and i wasn't going to shoot Dutch either. I was an honourable man all the way through the game, and yes he had a terrible past, but i felt that he was at least better than Dutch, Williamson and Escuella, in the fact that he tried to reform, and didn't just accept his life and continue down the path it was leading him. I think reform and redemption were a big part of the game, in the sense of either carrying on like the old Marston (negative honour) or redemption (positive honour). I chose positively and i wasn't rewarded, it was like i played the game as an evil man, when i didn't. If anything Rockstar is giving the sense that you may aswell not reform, because either way, you're going to end up with a bullet in you, 6 feet under. Plus i don't like Jack at all. Maybe that's why i'm more pissed, because i think Jack was a whiney bitch of a kid and now thats what pissed me off more than anything. [/sp]

[/sp]
[sp]Well if you're a murderer, thief and overall outlaw, would you really expect that if you stopped being so, you could get away with it? There was never a reason to reform if you're that bad, before Rockstar said or did anything.[/sp] I do agree though, the Honor did play very little to no part in the game, except for some minor atmosphere changes in the form of the AI's reactions to you, which weren't that noticeable to begin with. But as far as their story goes, some will like it, others will not, I for one love it, there's no other game I know of that has done such a thing (ending, voice acting and closeness to hero), and for that, Rockstar has once again, created another benchmark in gaming (unless another game has done so, but I don't know any).
i finally have enough money to get this on friday. :clint:
What the hell? What happened to all the game specific forums?!
