Playing as [sp]Jack[/sp], which is strange, but it gives me a chance to become totally 'evil'. [sp]Also saved right before the last mission, so I can go back to using John, who has full honor.[/sp]
I loved mexico!
I agree that Mexico felt weird but I grew to love it. I prefer North West Mexico though, as the East felt slightly too barren. However, I just reached [sp]Blackwater[/sp] and the first Animal I see is of course a bear, charging full speed at me in the Woods.
Why are you guys censoring Mexico? If you watched a single trailer then you'd know you go to Mexico eventually.
Watch the other two if you haven't yet.
That's what I'm going to do over this weekend. [editline]02:35PM[/editline] Heh. When me and the agents were riding in the car, I had accidentally parked my horse where it spawned, so my horse was stuck on top of it. It shows how cool the physics of the car is. The horse was stuck on one side, and the car sagged and tilted in the direction of the horse.
I had to hunt for beaver skins in Tall Trees and it took me like 4 fucking hours because every time I would put down bait the only things that would show up were boars and bears which would just sneak up on me and kick my ass.
Also, about that haunted house in Tumbleweed. [sp]The voices you hear when you shoot are from npc's that are stuck somewhere in the ground around or under the house. That being said, it might still be haunted, but the voices aren't that of ghosts[/sp]
Well, there's a box in the basement that's covered with rocks, and it looks exactly like the [sp]clue boxes in the stranger mission Aztec Gold.[/sp] It's possible that the Tumbleweed ghost was just part of [sp]an aborted quest arc involving buried treasure.[/sp]
Has anyone else noticed the willhelm scream when you kill people? I didn't realize it until halfway through the first half.
Has anyone else noticed the willhelm scream when you kill people? I didn't realize it until halfway through the first half.
Yeah, it's a homage to the millions of films that use it as a stock sound effect. [editline]01:49PM[/editline] But you probably already knew that
Dude, just use dead eye. It's SUPER easy. Just pick any guy in town, pull out your revolver, dead eye (I used level 1) and aim as high up on his hat as you can. If you miss just try a bit lower.
You can't use level one dead eye. Do people honestly not understand the whole "Multiplayer" and the whole "Two hats within 5 seconds" ? Like have you read any of my previous posts..? I'm not complaining here, but if you are going to suggest that I do something, then at least know what the fuck you are talking about first. [editline]11:55AM[/editline]
Can you actually tie up people / use the rope in multiplayer? When do you unlock it in SP?
No because the grief-causing potential of it would be fucking horrid.
MAJOR FUCKING SPOILERS AHEAD Just completed the game (all missions inclduding the [sp]Remember My Family where you have to kill Ross[/sp]) The ending was fucking depressing, [sp]I wanted to kill every fucking army man in the game[/sp]. R* really knows how to make good games. Going for 100% now. Also: [sp]Jack looks great, not better than John, but great. Love the moustache.[/sp] I GOT MY FUCKING BLACK HORSE!

[editline]11:55AM[/editline] No because the grief-causing potential of it would be fucking horrid.
What? You can use Dead-Eye in Multiplayer. When you spawn, the meter is empty, so you can't run off owning the shit out of people and such. As you get kills, it slowly raises. There's also green boxes near strongholds that fill it up entirely. Time doesn't slow down during it, but it does give you great accuracy and allows you to shove a lot of bullets at something extremely quickly.
Warning this spoiler is totally unexpected and may ruin the game. I really liked this game especially the beginning where [sp]John[/sp] is riding on the [sp]Train[/sp] and you can see [sp]Bonnie[/sp]. Then later [sp]Bonnie[/sp] says that she saw [sp]you[/sp] on the [sp]train.[/sp] Also when you go to mexico then blackwater it is really fun especially working for Reyes and finally killing the Mexican Army in the huge fight at the villa. It's a shame Lucia had to die though she was cool.

It said that in the hunting thread back when RDR had a subforum.

It's a shame Lucia had to die though she was cool.
It's not Laura or Lucia, it's Luisa. You're just as bad as Reyes. I was pissed when she got killed, I put all of my bullets in the dude that killed her's nuts during the duel.
Soo desperately want this game. I may get it tomorrow but I'm not 18 until Monday so I either wait for Monday and buy in-store or order it online tomorrow or have it on Monday.
The box in the basement covered in rocks is one of the treasures you can find for the treasure hunter challenge.
Really? Shit. I still haven't gotten around to finding the first one.
I don't think bait attracts small game. It said that in the hunting thread back when RDR had a subforum.
Nope, Only predators. Though on time I found a fuckhuge swarm of about 15 beavers on a hill north of the sunken paddlewheel steamer. Also, Apparently when you save, the game doesn't store the extra 5 items of each type after you get the Treasure Hunter's satchel. So don't go and top off your potions and stuff before saving.
Really? Shit. I still haven't gotten around to finding the first one.
It's at [sp]the Hanging Rock. The main part that marks it is made up of a few large rocks. If you go behind them(away from the tree with the noose) you should be able to get in between some and you'll see a small box with the first treasure and another map in it.[/sp]

Mexico was one of the best parts of the game, IMO. So many memorable characters in this game
I think the first Treasure Hunter was the hardest.
fucking people on Deathma- I mean free roam, me and this guy called Trifon were doin the bounty challenges, we both got to about $2,000, and this dude shoots us from miles away with his 1337 sniper, but I did get to level 16, so its not all bad.
Does the 'Game Completed' percentage only indicate the storyline missions, or does it include other things like stranger missions? Also, how much longer does the storyline go on for after[sp]you get your family back[/sp]?
Does the 'Game Completed' percentage only indicate the storyline missions, or does it include other things like stranger missions? Rank 1 dead eye would be totally useless online in the first place considering it doesn't do shit besides slow everything down. Putting a lot of bullets in someone really quickly isn't what I am trying to do. Why do people keep telling me obvious shit that won't help me with what I am trying to do? I already know how to do it, the shit that I said earlier (like 2 fucking days ago) was just a simple statement that the fucking challenge was hard, I wasn't looking for useless tips. Because you use them incorrectly for shit that isn't a spoiler. First off, you fucking put the spoiler tags on shit that isn't a spoiler, and second, you didn't fucking spoiler tag shit that IS a spoiler. I did it for you in case you fucking decide not to be a complete moron. I also took the liberty of removing the fucking useless ones that aren't spoilers.
Alright got the game 30 minutes before I had to go to school for an exam. Is there a trick to poker anyone can tell me? It's really annoying, I get down to busting the last guy, but just letting everyone play each other off, but he has too much money for me to get it off him. If I ever get any good hands, they always fold because the computer hacks
If you seem really unsure, take your time and make small bets, they shouldn't fold.
I completed the "I know you" stranger quest yesterday and I have to say I'm a bit confused, just who is that guy? Or what is he?
