Today, my posse and I rode into Gaptooth Breach, where another posse was in the middle of stealing the mine cart. We rode in, killed most of the miners, stole the minecart, shot up the other posse, piled into a stagecoach and left. The other posse started to chase us and we holed up in Rathskeller Fork and kept fighting off their attacks until they rage quit. It was awesome
Brother ordered it on friday, should be getting it on monday/tuesday/wednesday. Will have plenty of time, seeing as I'm done with my finals and I only work 2 evenings a week.
I busted everyone out my first time playing poker in Blackwater. I had the shittiest hand ever, but bet 1000 in chips, so I guess everyone at the table thought I had a beast hand.
Playing the last guy out of his money is a nightmare when he gets really low.
Check.
Check.
Check.
Check.
Ugh
Damn, man, this game's sold out near me.

It's sold out everywhere apart from Gamestation, I honestly don't know why they don't post a sign in the window stating "WE HAVE RED DEAD REDEMPTION" because everyone wants this game.

I don't even think we have Gamestation.
EDIT: Nope, UK only.
I went around 4 different game stores and 6 supermarkets that sell games
NOWHERE seems to have the PS3 version in Birmingham
I just bought a new PS3 specifically to play this aswell
I keep calling it Amarillo.
I didn't know about the side quest you have to do to finish the game.
The songs which play during the credits are great. Rockstar/Friends of Dean Martinez did a really good job with the soundtrack.
Also, get this into your minds. EUPHORIA IS NOT A PHYSICS ENGINE! Horses and other animals do not use euphoria, because in order to program euphoria to simulate an animal's nervous system you'd practically need to rewrite the whole thing.
PHYSICS ENGINE = Havok
ANIMATION ENGINE = Euphoria!
HORSE FALLING DOWN A HILL AND ROLLING = PHYSICS ALONE!
Every time an animal dies is goes through a pre-designed animation then hands the model over to Havok. If Euphoria was involved, the animation would look different every single time. Just shoot an animal and look closely. There are only a few different animations for each one.
I absolutely love the online on this game, popping people from distance with a rifle has never been so much fun.
What's the easiest way to make some cash when you've just started the game?
Also I love that Johns Dad was Scottish.

Kill animals. Skin them. Travel to where that animal is rare. Sell for massive amounts of money. Say you kill something like cougars in Austin. Go to Mexico (or just any town) and sell it. If you sell something like bear skin where bears don't live, like in Mexico, you get a lot of money.
You can do bounties when available too. You'll get money from that.

Do bounty hunting missions and the treasure hunting when you get the first map.

I found the quickest way to make money was to play 5-finger fillet. You'll make $100 every 40 seconds or so on the highest level when you can bet $100, and once you learn the pattern it becomes incredibly easy to do so.

Armadillos, they are gold.
And foxes and wolves too.
Shooting birds is a great way too, after my first hunting trip (which I did pretty much instantly when I was able to) I had over 800 dollars. :v:
im making an party tonight on RDR if you whant to join in

XBL=cr2142

thank you.
Where can I find the side quest to find the game? Anyone willing me to point me in the right direction?
Can someone explain to me the inventory system? How many guns can you carry? Can you carry more than one type of gun? Can you carry one of every gun? And how many guns are there? Is there a lot to do after the main missions?

You can carry all guns, but you don't have them all selected, you can just open the weapons menu and change your gun, there is a pretty nice amount of guns, and there are side quests, playing poker and that stuff, the multiplayer is pretty good with a nice group.

Alright, perfect. Thanks!
I love shooting people in the head and seeing how long I can keep them standing up by shooting them more in Dead Eye. With the Infinite Dead Eye cheat on of course.
Oh god this game is like pure, concentrated awesomeness. The gunplay is great fun and extremely satisfying, there's a lot to do, plenty of guns and enemies to kill.
I *just* bought this for PS3. When my little bro is done playing Borderlands, I intend to get on. PSN is SquirrelKing if you want to friend me.
I need people to hang out with and do gang hideouts. Tired of going into random free roam sessions and their being 12 year olds random deathmatching. I have PSN (I don't fucking care if the PS3 sucks or whatever the vast majority of you people believe) and name is whatup908 (gay name I know, wish I could change it)
Where do you get clothes in this game? I want to get a bandana over my face.
General store in Armadillo sells one I think.
Holy shit I don't know what's scarier online, the fact that everyone is a retarded dickweed that will follow you around the entire map killing you or that you get disconnected in the middle of whatever you're doing.
No, the bandana is at the tailor at theives' landing.

I'm one of those dickweeds.
I don't attack other players until they attack me though.
