Try the Thieve's Landing shop for the Springfield Rifle, after that, you have to wait until you get to Escalera to find any new guns.
The federal uniform doesn't look nearly as cool as I thought it would. Gentleman's attire is still my favorite.

God dammit, I've been trying to disarm 6 people without reloading and changing weapons and i either end up shooting there hand and killing them or making them fumble around, then when I try again i always hit there hands.

When you finish all the Hunting challenges.
Buffalo rifle unlocks at level 5, when you take out two of the scariest animals in the game with A KNIFE.
I'm much more scared about killing bears with a knife. :(
They are visible and don't always come from behind, when I did it I was pretty excited because it was really intense.

Everytime I would kill one another would spawn behind me, so when I go to skin one, another is ready to claw my ass.

I've found a new way to kill my arch enemies.
After losing a game of horseshoes several times to a Rufus Byrd, I decided that he no longer was of importance to MacFarlane's ranch. I lassoed him up, and dragged him behind my horse for a while, and I'm still surprised he didn't die. I tossed him on the back of my horse, and rode around with him for a good ten minutes or so, before I finally decided how to finish him. I found a nice cliff, and stepped off my horse. I raised my revolver, and shot my horse dead in the face. The horse fell flat on the ground, and Rufus fell with it. But Rufus didn't stop, oh no, Rufus kept rolling, and off the cliff he went.
And then I skinned my horse.

Some hooker asked me to give her a ride, then she proceed to steal my horse, which I didn't approve of. I simply whistled for my horse, and he bucked her off and ran to me. Then I got on my horse, caught up to the running hooker, and lassoed her, got off my horse, hogtied her, put her on the horse, and rode away into the sunset. Once I got to a bridge, I was about to drop her off the side, when a fucking Cougar attacks me from behind. I shot it in the face, then I picked up the hooker again, put her on the side of the bridge, untied her, and when she got up she fell off the bridge into the water below screaming. This is only one of my hundreds of humorous experiences in Red Dead Redemption.

for me, the story was really short compared to GTA IV, and the I dont really like the multiplayer as much either, well atleast with tbogt dlc, but the characters in rdr are better than gtaIV, but there are less of them to get attached to or to hate, its gotten kinda stale from me now that I beat the story

Yeah, I don't feel as attached to the characters like I did in GTA IV. I really cared for the characters and was genuinely sad when [sp]Roman died[/sp].
