Seriously, Free Roam is NOT deathmatch. Holy hell.
I was minding my own business, racking up XP by taking on gang hideouts by myself and the only people in the server were me and a purple posse of about 5 guys. Randomly in the middle of my firefight for the hideout I see one of the posse ride in close to my position (I was behind a large boulder). I thought 'great, I could use some help and we'll part ways after this!'.
Hell no, the guy shoots one gang member coming up to the position, looks at me and just shoots me in the back and runs off. Later the rest of the posse joined him and after I cleared the hideout they all chased me to Mexico. I honestly have yet to experience a decent free roam with players that won't shoot anything that moves.

I rarely find good public free roams, it's because fuckheads just want XP and believe killing others is the only way; that or they think they get stats or something from it; OR they're just cockheads.
'Tis why it's good to have a lot of mates who play it, I always have someone on I can free roam with.

Anyone else think getting together 18 people and making a private freeroam, then playing a sort of Cops and Robbers deal.
We could have like 8 lawmen and 8 robbers, lawmen patrol the town we choose, and Robbers have to come up with a plan to rob the bank. Then they have to get into the bank and stay in there for like 5 minutes or so then try and escape.
I was thinking of setting something like this up but don't know if anyone would like to try it.

To be honest it is REALLY hard to fight the urge to act like a bunch of outlaws and pick on other players once you have a decent sized posse.
I'd love bows. They could be the games primary stealth weapon, rather than having to use throwing knives or the knife.

Goddamn I seem to be a Predator magnet, went to the boar place north of Macfarlane, and five fucking pairs of cougars came at me one after another, then, I go up to tall tree and 5 pairs of bears head after me as soon as i get there.
