Is anyone doing free roam on the PS3? Every time I try to connect to a public game, it just puts me by myself.

The ONLY snake I've ever seen was in Mexico, some dude shot towards me, I readied my gun but then he stopped shooting, there was a dead snake next to me, skinned and sold it. :3:
Just beat the game, kickass story. A couple of friends and I fired up Freeroam a few days ago for the first time...the chat lagged so we couldn't talk for some weird reason, none of us had any idea what we were doing beyond riding and shooting, we couldn't figure out where to get better weapons because we kept getting killed and could barely fight back with that crappy pistol it starts you out with. I finally just got frustrated and went back to the single player...it sounds like I'll have to give multiplayer another try though cause people in this thread sound like they're having fun.

Acting like outlaws? Is that seriously the excuse that people use? There's a difference between acting like an outlaw and griefing. 90% of the time players are griefing, not acting like "outlaws".
I'd like to do private matches with friends but most of my friends own PS3's.
Waste of money if you ask me but there's a different time and place for that kind of talk...

Snkaes are in both the US and Mexico, you hardly see them though and only if you're on foot really.
yeah twice today i've been raped by a posse of 5+ people while trying to do a gang hideout. i was in pike's basin and the entire fucking posse rides in with sawed-off shotguns and guns me down. 10 respawns later i manage to get away and they chase me from armadillo to blackwater to escalera. the only good part was i got the achievement for riding from blackwater to escalera before sundown

I run into plenty of snakes, even on horse. Everyone once in a while you'll hear the rattle of the snakes tail. Simple as that.

I can't find cougars when I need them, I only find deer and junk. Then when I want to find a boar, I get mauled by cougars the whole time.

Haha, I always hear the shaker sound effect that's part of the music and think I've found a snake.
Snakes in the game are like snakes in real life. If you hear a snake in the game it isn't just ambient noise, there is actually a snake there. But it isn't going to be just sitting there in the open. Try running through the bushes a bit on foot.
Are there any cheats I can use that won't hinder me from completing the came correctly and won't stop me from getting Trophies on PS3?
Or maybe I should make a duplicate of my save and use one for cheating and pissing around on and one for srsmode.

Uh, you don't need to do that. In fact, you can't save at all while using cheats. You just reload your save.

Yeah. To be honest, I'm exactly too sure why they did it that way. I mean, it wouldn't effect online in anyway. They could have done it like GTA IV. Temporarily disable trophies(or two specific trophies, in GTA IV's case) until you restart the game. You could still use all the cheats all you wanted and save, and still be able to earn the trophies after.

I was doing some sick knife skills in Blackwater yesterday. Had cops running all over the city and every now and again, one would try to run across the street for cover, I throw I knife at him and it hits him in the arm, disarming him, then run up to him and execute him (stab in 'is yeller belleh)
I'm trying to get the Walton's gang outfit, and it says I have to eliminate all players in a game of poker in Armadillo.
What exactly have I got to do? I've won a few games, but don't really know what it means to eliminate them.

They have to lose all their chips, "busting out" is what it's called.

Probably don't need them anymore anyway, if you've already seen all the areas.
Shit how do you unlock the Walton's gang outfit? Do you neeed to be signed up to the social club?
From the 30 minutes I've played so far, the horse controls seem quite loose - if I try to look around while sprinting, I go off course.
