Does anyone else love jumping off small cliffs and watching john roll down the hill? I find it quite amusing
Does anyone else love jumping off small cliffs and watching john roll down the hill? I find it quite amusing
If I see a cliff that I think I can survive I always run down it to fall.
Want a scary time? How about tons of Bears/Cougars nipping at you. Works great in multiplayer. First thing you must do is head to Bearclaw Camp or Tanners reach depending on if you want Cougars or Bears. You (or you and a friend) must run to one, get the attention of the animals, and run out. Once it says "You have left" you turn right back around and run back. Keep repeating the process until you have the desired amount of animals. My friend and I had about 30 bears circling us from the cabin.
You can do the California one.

And the Aztec Gold one.
Well then why can't I? :(
Hey guy's do you think this game will come out for pc?
Buffalo rifle is utter crap in multiplayer. The Buffalo rifle is 2 shots to kill, 1 shot loaded at a time, reload takes a while, and if you pop up from cover and fire it you are stuck reloading it, standing up till it's finished reloading. The bolt action rifle is so much better, 5 shots, same damage as Buffalo rifle - 2 shots to kill, bolts and reloads quickly, and you pop back under cover as soon as you fire.
To the people having Multiplayer problems, they released a patch a few days ago that should work.
I had a spot where a pack of 7 wolves would continuously spawn. I killed more than 40 wolves before it stopped.
Hey guy's do you think this game will come out for pc?
I fucking hope so. Would love to see it run on my PC, hopefully, they don't do a GTA IV and do a god awful port to PC. :/
I fucking hope so. Would love to see it run on my PC, hopefully, they don't do a GTA IV and do a god awful port to PC. :/
It wasn't a bad port, it was just the way they made it to begin with. The game is very processor-heavy, due to the console counter-parts. They weren't going to remake the whole thing, so they just left it as it was and put it on PC. If you have a quad core you'll be fine for RDR. Well, at least, if they put it on PC. There's been word about it, but at the same time, there's word against it.
You're fucking joking D: I just hunted and skinned about 10 grizzly bears and then about 4 of them AND a pack of wolves mauled me to death and I lost all of them. GOD DAMN D:
I was in a glitch or something because I killed 4 wolves then skinned 2 and 4 more immediately respawned. I had 40 pelts when a boar came and knocked me over and killed me before I could get back up. I almost killed my Xbox. I don't know how I am supposed to kill 3 bears with one shot
I don't know how I am supposed to kill 3 bears with one shot
Dynamite! Perhaps. Perhaps...
I don't know how I am supposed to kill 3 bears with one shot
One shot each. All you have to do is each bear with one shot, individually.
A cougar lunged at me, I dead eyed a throwing knife to his face and he fell at my feet and I skinned him.
A few observations: 1. The slope down the western side of Nekoti Rock is a brilliant ragdoll slide 2. [sp]The Bollard Twins outfit appears to give John's original clothes to Jack, plus a neckerchief[/sp] 3. Going to the intersection of paths at Tanner's Reach (you'd see it on the map) guarantees a (in my experience) never-ending bear party (similar to that found on Multiplayer in Bearclaw Camp or Tanner's Reach for Cougars - though in Multiplayer the waves of animals do have rest periods) 4. Clearing out the high-stakes poker table in Blackwater with a winning hand of a pair of 2s beats any of my hunting kills to date 5. Ultimately the only useful honor is [sp]good honor[/sp] 6. [sp]Knowing you killed the last buffalo is a sad and empty feeling - 5G isn't worth it[/sp]

Anyone up for PS3 free roam?
I think a prequel to RDR would be interesting - playing as John whilst in Dutch's gang would include a lot of Western gunplay. I only fear that it may be restricted to America (why would they bother going to Mexico?) so it may be more suitable to be episodic DLC similar to those released for GTA IV.
I spent most of yesterday pissing around with the Drunk cheat and Invincibility cheat. I fell of buildings, mountains, trains. It was so awesome. Also someone mentioned using the cheats to recreate that classic Western moment when the bad guy stumbles towards to Lawman after being shot so many times. It was sooooo cooooooooool. Lots of blood though, especially when your bounty is at 7000
all the shadows on jack's clothes are broken for me, like parts of chest are invisible. anyone else getting this problem? doesn't seem to happen outside though
6. [sp]Knowing you killed the last buffalo is a sad and empty feeling - 5G isn't worth it[/sp]
I swear I nearly cried manly tears when I[sp] killed the last buffalo[/sp], but it was so much fun at the time :saddowns:
I swear I nearly cried manly tears when I[sp] killed the last buffalo[/sp], but it was so much fun at the time :saddowns:
I didn't think much of it but after a while I was like [sp] I miss those oversized beasts[/sp].
They just wanted to eat grass and roam, but noooooo, you had to and kill them all. :saddowns:
I don't know what to think of the Mexican Poncho. I like how it makes John look like Blondie, but it's still not as good as the Duster.
I don't know how many times I've yelled "GOD DAMN COUGAR!"
I had one attack me out of nowhere up at The Hanging Rock. It scared the shit out of me because I was doing the American Appetites mission. I think the neighbors down the block heard me yell that.
this game is full of betraying assholes or mentally unstable gits like [sp]that guy who asks you a bouquet of flower for his wife which is a decomposed corpse[/sp]

I love shooting people's legs so they're stuck kneeling then going up to them and pressing fire so Marston shoots them in the head execution style with a side on camera view. Awesome.
