New details and stuff.
It's just one of the perks of living in Austin I guess :V. I hope they show some stuff from Spartan Ops though, and not just the same stuff they showed at E3

Well Spartan ops was shown off behind closed doors at E3, you may get lucky at RTX, but I wouldn't hold your breath. But either way dude, ENJOY! And please do come back and talk about your experience! It's not everyday I get to talk to others who have also played H4.
Are the Spartan Ops supposed to be their own story or a continuation after the ending of Halo 4 (Like Half Life Episodes)?

Spartan ops is separate from the Campaign plot. It will be tied in overall, but a different story.
Why do I have the strangest feeling this entire trilogy will take place on/in Reqium?
According to an E3 interview, Spartan Ops is 6 months after the campaign, which means that the Infinity (And the conflict it is in) will have been going on for quite an extended bit of time.
Unless of course Spartan Ops wraps up the story on Reqium, possibly in a way reminiscent of Halo CE.

Im going to say they finish on Requim, and they're training so they are more prepared for the next encounter.

Well, Frankie seems to be implying that something good will be at RTX, based on his "Four more sleeps" post.
Just got back from registration, is anyone interested in seeing what was in the swag bags?

I'm guessing that the Infinity is repaired and leaves the planet, or at least gets into orbit around it, so it's the Infinity sending them down to Requiem for the missions from outside. The image of that destroyed ring on the cover art (if that was real, I can't remember) implies that something happens outside of Requiem for at least part of the game, if not afterwards.
Plus, well, playing the same three games on the same planet (even one as big as this Requiem) strikes me as repetitive and dull, and even if they did pull it off, some variety would be nice.
There's also the option that Halo 5 will just take place six months after Halo 4, but that would be quite a leap from the usual time between games.
Pictures are uploading now, I'll post them in a second

I did always find it a bit wierd that the war went on for almost 3 decades but the Halo trilogy only covers 2 years.

Actually, the trilogy spans only three months. Halo CE takes place in September(19-22), Halo 2 in October(20) and early November(2-3), and finally Halo 3 runs through November(17), December(11, 23) and March of the next year.

Blarg, reading your post again, I think I just completely misunderstood it.

Technically it goes right up to October if you count the Voi ceremony.
So about 1 year.

Hopefully the dynamic lighting doesn't take a hit on the framerate.
Dynamic forge lighting! :D

Goddamnit the stream is just a black screen on my end.
What is the map? Forge World 2?
Does anyone have the forge footage/info if it's already been talked about?
Does anyone have the forge footage/info if it's already been talked about?
There are three different Forge environments(like three smaller Forge Worlds), dynamic lighting affects Forged objects, there is a lock feature, and you can create Player Trait Zones.
Lock feature?
Oh, you can now lock Forge objects in place, making them immovable until unlocked. I used to accidentally move stuff all the time in Reach, so I like it.
Any sign of an undo button?
Oh, you can now lock Forge objects in place, making them immovable until unlocked. I used to accidentally move stuff all the time in Reach, so I like it.
Finally! This is good news!
Any sign of an undo button?
No undo, but I heard there was 'magnets' (does that mean pasting objects together to move as one?) and being able to repeat a certain construction automatically (like copying a hallway or something, I guess).
Also, I could see someone making an indoor/outdoor space map like Anchor 9 with trait zones. I'm definitely doing that.
Dammit hangover! Why did you make me take a nap and miss the Forge reveal!

Oh, and there is a duplicate feature, now. Best thing about the reveal, I'd say.
What are the three environments? I've seen the Forge World v2 sort of map, a few small screens of the Gulch but I'm completely dark about #3.
