So I JUST got back from RTX, and the Halo 4 demo was AMAZING. I got to play Infinity Slayer on Longbow, for about 7 or 8 minutes. I spent a good amount of time in vehicles, the ghost's cannon felt a little more powerful to me. I mainly used the Battle Rifle, which was similar if not the same one from Halo 3. My loadout had the Hardlight Shield, which was definitely a step up from armor lock, and managed to get me out of a couple close calls. The support upgrades honestly seemed kind of useless, I couldn't even tell you what upgrade my ad. I got two ordinance packages, (Which I felt were pretty easy to get) both times I chose the Scattershot. The Scattershot was like a more powerful shotgun, and I can definitely see the difference from the shotgun. My team ended up losing, whichcut the game short one or two minutes early, but overall I really enjoyed what I got to see. I was worried about a couple issues going into the demo, like the whole new points system that goes with infinity slayer, but it was cool to be rewarded for something other than kills. Final Thoughts: The demo was even better than I thought it would be, and I can't wait until the next time I get to play it.
Are vehicles still made of paper like reach? Do you know how many plasma grenades it takes to blow up a warthog?
Are vehicles still made of paper like reach? Do you know how many plasma grenades it takes to blow up a warthog?
The vehicles seemed a little more sturdy I guess, I did the driving in the warthogs and I felt like I could withstand a few more shots, maybe, before dying
I thought vehicles were a little downplayed in Halo Reach. In Halo 3 when you see a warthog it's like, "oh SHIT. TAKE COVER NIGGA" and in Reach you just stop, stare, and shoot at it.
Are vehicles still made of paper like reach? Do you know how many plasma grenades it takes to blow up a warthog?
probably quite a few. I watched a ghost take a stick and keep trucking.
probably quite a few. I watched a ghost take a stick and keep trucking.
It all depends where the damage was located, if you hit the propulsion system of the ghost (for example) it will take more damage than hitting the front of it.

I wonder if you can still one shot the ghost by shooting it in the fuel tank with the sniper rifle.
I wonder if you can still one shot the ghost by shooting it in the fuel tank with the sniper rifle.
I think that was taken out of Halo 3 or Reach, and not given a damage boost. So it'd be a question of whether or not it's coming back.
So what's the difference between Infinity Slayer and Slayer?
the way the scoring is handled i'm pretty sure
Orbital drops.
I think that was taken out of Halo 3 or Reach, and not given a damage boost. So it'd be a question of whether or not it's coming back.
Its in Reach. Both the Ghost and the Warthog have weak spots. The Ghost has the core on the underside, and the warthog's engine. I was testing this a couple days ago in forge. Not sure where the weak spots in other vehicles are if they have any, I'd assume the wraith would be the rear.

The Scorpion's weak point is also its treads
I'm pretty confident about Halo 4 now for it's gameplay and forge capabilities, but the campaign still is a spot of wonder for me though. Hey Delta, if you ever happen to see a playtest of a campaign sometime, would you mind slipping details on the level structure. I'm praying that Halo 4 has open levels (Atleast one or two) like CE, ODST and Reach and not the strict linear cooridoors of Halo 2's campaign. [editline]9th July 2012[/editline] Halo (The level, not the superweapon), New Mombasa (The hub map, not the city), Winter Contingency and New Alexandria (The level, not the city) were some of my favorite levels of the series due to their openended nature with several objectives around the map to be taken on at your own pace. And I just realized that every level of that nature in the series is named after it's location rather than a phrase or term (With exception of WC) [editline]9th July 2012[/editline] I'd add Cilent Photography to that list, but the way the level plays out is leaning towards the linear side, as awesome as that level is.
The Scorpion's weak point is also its treads
I thought it was the vent on the back, same with the Wraith.
Oooo, Falcons? Weren't they like taken out of service or something?
The DMR was also taken out of service but its back now.
DMR looks like to be an updated model.
The only campaign I have ever seen is the extended cut of the campaign footage we all saw at E3, the extended cut was 5 mins longer of that level. But what I do know is the environments of Halo 4's campaign have a vast variety of combat styles. [editline]9th July 2012[/editline]
The DMR was also taken out of service but its back now.
It wasn't really taken out of service, it's just that most of the things we saw on planet reach were in short supply in locations we ventured in Halo CE-3. Now that the UNSC had time to rebuild, ArmaLite Corp, and Misriah Armory had the time to mass produce, and distribute weapons to the UNSC. Not to mention the DRM featured in Halo 4 is the M395 DMR and not the M392 DMR featured in reach.
DRM in Halo??? no buy no buy
DRM in Halo??? no buy no buy
Opps, fixed.

"The M392 Designated Marksman Rifle once saw more widespread use throughout all branches of the UNSC Defense Force, particularly during the Insurrection. However, it has been largely superseded by the BR55 Battle Rifle, especially since the latter weapon's heavy-barreled variant was introduced in 2548." http://www.halopedian.com/DMR So what you said SpartanXC9 was right but then all the sudden the new one, "The M395 Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR) is a gas-operated designated marksman rifle designed by Misriah Armory and used by the UNSC Defense Force. It is the successor to the M392 model used throughout the Insurrection and the Human-Covenant War. It reintroduces this series into the Marine Corps and the Navy after its predecessor's widespread replacement by the BR55 series." http://www.halopedian.com/M395_Designated_Marksman_Rifle I guess the DMR is suddenly back in business Well whatever the case I enjoyed the DMR enough in reach and am glad its returning for halo 4.
Looks like vehicles have their own icons on the radar now instead of just a bigger red blob.

Also for some reason I always thought of the DMR as a carbine since its basically just a long range version of the pistol in Reach.
