DISREGARD I CAN'T COUNT WORTH SHIT APPARENTLY
Any way, he doesn't have a lot of room open to be at some academy with this guy, the only possible place this could logically happen is in that 8 year gap, but given all the shit that went down with the halos, it begs the question of if chief would even remember him even if they had met.
[sp] I am over analyzing the shit out of this [/sp]
doubt hes been cryo half his life.
maybe not, but he, along with the other spartans were the best chance the unsc had against the covenant, so I would hazard the guess that any time he wasn't on a mission, he was prepping for the next. Couple that with the time it takes to travel via slipspace, and its not unreasonable to assume he's not got a lot of free time.
But like I said, the series will probably take place in the 8 year gap. I didn't know there were those two big chunks of time were we don't know what he was up to.
in the live action he's wearing mkIV armor right

In the video posted a bit higher up, it said this series looks at the origin of the war with the covenant. That said, this could have very well happened very close to the 2525 mark.
Does anyone else want to post their Gamertags for a possible custom game night
Anybody up for going for the weekly challenge (Exodus LASO)? My GT is DoomsDayDan

I know everyone uses this song. No, I didn't know that when I started.
Recently in custom games I have found people "cuddling" and I decided to take a picture because I thought it was cute.

Then I join a different lobby, and guess again, more lovers! I decided to record this encounter. Although, I think they were away, but they tried to kill me a few seconds later.

They're actually rubbing their clouds together to make the lightning.
yea, but look:
2511 - born
2517 - abducted (6)
2525 - augmented, first mission, war begins (14)
27 year gap
2544 - raid on 3rd fleet of glorious consequence (if you count the anime bs) (41)
8 year gap
2552 - halo 1, halo 2, halo 3 (49)
2553 - war ends, lost in space (50)
5 year gap
2557 - halo 4 (55)
(Age not counting cryo, probably half that final number)

I had goosebumps through the most of it, outstanding work!
I have more kills with the needle rifle than I do the rocket launcher.
Who's the guy that just sent me an invite, can you send it again?
In related news, last call for the Exodus train probably

Yea I noticed that, but when I factor it out:
14 + 27 = 41 + 8 = 49 + 1 = 50 + 5 = 55
but if you subtract 2511 from 2557 you get 46
wat.
I'm just gunna bet that I'm retarded.
[editline]ads[/editline]
I bet right.
2525 to 2544 isn't 27 years. it's 27 years from 2525 to 2552.

Thanks! I tried to avoid spoilers, but you know how that goes. :P

Pre-ordered Halo 4, just the normal edition

Why dude? You save money in the long run with the limited edition! Not to mention all the cool bonuses, extended cut of FUD.

I'm kinda butting in here, but paying for DLC before the game is even released is a bit silly. What if the DLC maps turn out to be garbage? Besides, even if they're good, what are the chances that I get to play them in Matchmaking? In Reach, I've only seen the DLC maps come up a handful of times. Not worth the money, in my opinion.
Sure, there's other goodies, but most aren't in game content, which is the only part that matters to me, personally.

I understand and respect what you mean, although I disagree. But as far as DLC maps on Reach Matchmaking, I played almost off of them in MM frequently.

Reach did have a horrible DLC matchmaking system, it would have been cool if you could set it as one of your preferences.
However that doesn't mean Halo 4 will have this same system. They may have have learnt from Reach and improved it.
I hope that the revamped Matchmaking in Halo 4 gets rid of the "All or nothing" treatment when it comes to DLC, like Halo 2 or COD does.
Not all of us are going to buy all the DLC, it shouldn't punish us for that if we buy half of the DLC but not all of it. Just dynamically switch on and off what DLC can be played in a MM party based off of what DLCs each player has, while prioritizing MM for players who have the same DLC.
Halo 2 did it, why not Halo 4?
I might upgrade to the Limited edition later.
I almost didn't have enough to pre-order that, $9 of tax. (recently moved so I don't have a job yet)
I could have just put $5 down, but I like paying it off all at once.
Yeah, I'm not gonna blow 100 bucks on a limited edition, standard edition for me.
I hate how games always offer a version that's so expensive... Like how Skyrim had a standard edition, or an edition that has some cool stuff, and A DRAGON STATUE THAT WILL SIT ON YOUR SHELF AND COLLECT DUST THAT EFFECTIVELY DOUBLES THE PRICE, no middle ground. I liked how the past Halo games had a better version, and then a super-duper-pointless statue edition for a buttload more cash.
I'd always go with the middle option.
the Limited edition is about half way between the price of the Limited and Legendary Editions of Reach.
343 didn't want to make the fans choose between special editions so they only made one.
