Those paint jobs on the xbox look horrible.
The training academy is shot at the Vancouver University in Vancouver, Canada, I recognize it from quite a few shows (mostly Sci-Fi) that have shot there.
[hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ca3Y8Ws3plI[/hd]
chills up my spine
The last shot of the trailer, that is Lasky grown up, serving on what I'm assuming is the UNSC Infinity listening to Cortana's Distress call from the Forward Unto Dawn. UNSC Rank Insignia is confusing. He has 3 Bars which would be a Commander in the US Navy, but he also has a Gold Oak leaf which would make him a Lt. Colonel in the US Air Force (Which are equivalent ranks) Maybe they merge rank insignia in the Future. Its looks nothing like the insignia shown in Reach. So he could be the XO (Executive Officer) of the Infinity. [editline]13th July 2012[/editline] Hmm Miranda Keys had 3 Stripes on her Arms and a Oak leaf on her collar and she was a commander.
Yeah, I'm not gonna blow 100 bucks on a limited edition, standard edition for me. I hate how games always offer a version that's so expensive... Like how Skyrim had a standard edition, or an edition that has some cool stuff, and A DRAGON STATUE THAT WILL SIT ON YOUR SHELF AND COLLECT DUST THAT EFFECTIVELY DOUBLES THE PRICE, no middle ground. I liked how the past Halo games had a better version, and then a super-duper-pointless statue edition for a buttload more cash. I'd always go with the middle option.
Except, this Limited Edition actually has reasons that make it a valid purchase. Like, the fact that you get hard copies of Forward Unto Dawn (uncut, too). And a season pass to a certain amount of map packs/expansions, IIRC. Not to mention the other things to be expected of a limited edition. Besides, they're treating Halo 4 like it should be- an event. Major installments in series should not be one off "fun, but see you next year" things. They should be crafted and handled with care. We're not likely to see Halo 5 until 2014/15 (odds are, 15, considering the typical 3 year dev cycle for a Halo game). By all means, Halo 4 is going to be a singular event. Therefore, such a thing warrants a collector's edition. Now that I think back on it, my Halo 2 CE was an awesome purchase.
2:13 in the trailer there is a Cloaked Elite, I was wondering what that scene was about, all I saw were ripples in the water, then I realized.
Forward Unto Dawn looks amazing. That's exactly how I imagined a Halo film looking. My bet is that Lasky is going to be to be a major player in the Halo 4 campaign. Still a little curious as to why the soldiers look so freaked out to see Covies, though. They're ODSTs in training (I think), and the Chief's wearing Mark IV, which means the war's already been going on for quite some time. Lasky and the others acted like they had no idea what a Covenant footsoldier looked like. Speaking of which, I wish they would've shown some Covenant. Though, I suppose the CGI may not be done for them, yet.
There was a Banshee shown for about half a second.
Agoat I don't have a usable xbox mic.
I'm on Reach, Tuskin38. No Mic.
2:13 in the trailer there is a Cloaked Elite, I was wondering what that scene was about, all I saw were ripples in the water, then I realized.
Ah, well, I guess they did show a Covie, then. Also, I should add that I think they chose a perfect guy to play Chief. Though, that intro scene was a little camp for me, but it's forgivable because of the Rule of Cool.
I don't understand why they didn't use Chief's voice actor, they have an established voice, why not use it. Maybe because he is suppose to be younger?
Tuskin, Agoat. If you guys have a PC mic you're welcome to join my teamspeak, just PM me for the IP.
Likely. Also, there's the whole suit aspect of it. The actor is large enough to look imposing without any camera work, so they can put him in a MJOLNIR mockup and still get a good effect. Thing is, though, the Chief may be old(er) in the games than at this point in the series, but thanks to all his time spent in cryo (which is fairly significant), and the genetic/physical augmentations, he's probably got the body of a man half his age (and 30 times the assumed strength, dexterity and endurance of a human being, but that's completely different). I guess they could just write it off as good enough. The voice sounds fine, the guy looks a bit like how the Chief was described, he's tall, and he fits the armor.
they should've gotten steve downes to voice chief in the movie as well. like they did for vader, two different actors. one in the suit one doing the voice
Master Chief is easily in his fifties last time I did the math, but with Cryo, his implants, and workout of killing hundreds and thousands of covies the man is still in top shape.
Yes but this series might take place earlier in the war
Yes but this series might take place earlier in the war
It does. Chief's using Mark IV, which means it's gotta be between the outbreak of the war (2525) and 2551.
Anyone want to get a game going? I'm on right now.
Well if he is using Mark IV then he is twenties-thirties.
Well if he is using Mark IV then he is twenties-thirties.
Considering Mark IV was in use up until the year before the Fall of Reach and the events of the original trilogy, that's not exactly correct. He was in his twenties and thirties at the time. He was also in his forties and fifties.
I forgot how fun BTB is.
Anyone want to get a game going? I'm on right now.
I'm down, wanna give the weekly challenge a go?
sure
After owning Reach for 2 years, I've finally made a purchase in the armoury.
Just finished exodus laso with doom. Jesus chrsit, now I remember why I never do those.
LASO for actual hardest thing ever
LASO for actual hardest thing ever
Well at least they turned it down a little for the weeklies, disabling blind and all.
Master Chief is easily in his fifties last time I did the math, but with Cryo, his implants, and workout of killing hundreds and thousands of covies the man is still in top shape.
Why can no one in this thread do simple math! Hes 46 by 2557. [editline]13th July 2012[/editline]
Likely. Also, there's the whole suit aspect of it.
