I understand why the Oddball disintegrates due to its Promethean-like appearance, but I'm a bit lost as to why the flag does. It looks like the same human flag from before.
Because fuck logic and fuck reality, it's Halo and you're beating a fully armored supersoldier to death with a flag.
It's the motherfucking flag, that's why.
This is also a perfectly acceptable answer.
I've yet to see the new oddball.

It's at 25:25 of this video:

halo 4 is best halo
Maybe the reason why the bodies disintegrate is because you're playing as a spartan who is playing a video game.
It's 2556 and the holodeck still doesn't have enough memory for dead bodies?
Are any of the DLCs for Reach that good?
They're alright, I like Breakneck on the Anniversary Map Pack.

And doing a damn fine job at it.

I think the new skull is going to have a tie in with something to do with the forerunners because the disintegration is just like the Scatter Shot
When I saw the Oddball get passed to the guy in the video I thought he got stuck by a plasma grenade, took several replays to realize it's actually the Oddballs trail
October is too long to wait for The Thursday War.

Or, it's just a skull.
They never had to explain the skull before, why now?
You guys over-analyse everything, you're almost coming close to the comically satirical analysis we get about Episode 3.
Or, it's just a skull.
The plot thickens.

This is why we need betas. If we had a playable beta, we'd just go do that instead.

Oh gods, I can only imagine the level of complaining we'd get from the more...obtuse part of the fandom. "Dis sux, bring bak Halo 2!!", and "BXRRRR".
[editline]17th July 2012[/editline]
oh shit we're going to be having people doing the same thing, except with Halo 3 and maybe even Reach concepts
fuck
I wish MLG would stop getting early access to halo 4, they ruin every thing.
I still wonder who thought it would be a good idea to pander to them.
There's probably a money deal or something regarding it, or maybe it's just that MLG is (sadly) such a large part of the community that it would be counterproductive to do anything but let them in on it a bit.
Also, to drum up publicity.
If they are going to cater to them, why can they just make 'super leet pro mode' for them and leave the rest of the game the way it is? I want to play halo, video games in general, to enjoy them.
Well, they do. The MLG playlist. The core game is likely left far and away from MLG considerations- custom game options, though, that's different.

I think the biggest problem with MLG is that they're not really pros, they're just good at a specialized gametype and that's all. They also like to remove games from the circuit because they can't adapt to new play styles.

Halo Reach
"Get rid of the battle rifle!"
Halo 4
"Yay the battle rifle is back!"

This is kind of a true statement. If the pros are matchmaking in a playlist besides MLG, it depends on who they match up against, but there's was a game of Big team Battle were The MLG pros got destroyed by BtB pros. There all around good players, and I know a lot of them play rumble pit ( I think Naded is #1 in the world for it).

I like pro players having early access. I enjoy being competitive, and having MLG players playtest means I'll still have my competitive game.

This is true in Reach, but saying that Walshy isn't good at Halo is a pretty bold statement.
[editline]17th July 2012[/editline]
Something else to keep in mind is that while Reach was fun, there were significant changes to the game that threw off the core gameplay. For me, the big one for me is momentum. My strength in Halo 3 was trick jumping, and that I could navigate better than everyone else in a match. In Reach, I can use sprint, but physics hopping is hardly used at all now.
anybody remember this?
