So guys, I've decided to paint a Halo painting this week. You can suggest motive, absolutely whatever you want, and if I like it I'll paint it. Anything Halo related.
Sangheili or Lekgolo
anything as long as it involves either of those species
Sangheili would sure be a challenge to paint, completely different anatomy and all. But it's a neat challenge. Not sure how I'd incorporate a worm-species, perhaps invent my own monster compromised of Lekgolo?
But either way, still open for specific suggestions.
"We created a fairly compelling and convincing reason why red spartans fight blue spartans."Yep, I'm buying this the day its released.[editline]5th March 2012[/editline] Oh how I wish they would
It's obvious, they are fighting over Ms. Purple
Wow learning Halo history is actually interesting. I learned stuff I didn't know before.
Between 350 000 and 200 000 years ago the Forerunners fought the Precursors, these transsentient nearly godlike possibly extragalactic insect like creatures. Towards the end of the war when the Precursors were losing they created the flood. Only one Precursor survived the war, the prisoner of Charum Hakkor, may still be alive in present Halo day.

I don't want to spoil anything for you, but...read the newest books. Trust me, there's a lot more to that. A lot. Glasslands is optional, but the Forerunner trilogy is necessary for an understanding of that entire topic. Cryptum and Primordium are out right now, the next one is due out in January.
Sweet, I'll get them for my Kindle. I spend 2 hours traveling to school each day per train, which amounts to 10 hours per week. I always need reading.
sooo many fucking books... Why did Halo canon have to get interesting again right in the thick of college?
I just realized how weird Halo 4 sounds.

That's not how it went, the Precursors predated the Forerunners and had a hand in creating them, Humans and San'Syuum before mysteriously vanishing [sp]hi Protheans[/sp], and the Flood came around when Humanity was a spacefaring race before going to war with the Forerunner. They arrived in canisters aboard a mysterious vessel that came from outside the galaxy and their contents were found to cause a mutation in their pets that made them very exotic. After numerous creatures were infected with this non-malicious form of the Flood, it evolved into something that would spread the plague and things just kinda went from there. My memory gets kind of fuzzy after that but I think the Humans were fighting the Forerunner on one front and the Flood on the other, which is why they lost the war and got reduced to tribals on Earth
I remember someone here saying that the Flood was some sort of test for highly advanced civilisations to see if they were worthy of existing (or worthy of taking over the Precursor's position in the galaxy)

Well, yeah, pretty much. At least, that's how most are interpreting it. Primordium was a little complex.
Motherfucking Halo 4.
Looks goddamn amazing. I came multiple times.
Everything is just... perfect. 343 cannot fuck this up. As in, they've done so well already that it's impossible.
1. Master Chief looks sexy.
2. The HUD looks sexy.
3. Multiplayer looks sexy.
4. The engine looks sexy.
5. The Battle Rifle.
6. Animations.
7. Spartan IVs.
8. Audio.
9. Campaign.
10. Above all, this is clearly Halo. No ironsights, realism without the reality, and a world full of wonder.
11. Close-r quarters maps.

But I don't like close quarters maps.
I'm going to deeply miss Marty O'donnell. The music just doesn't seem right to me.
What's up with the IV's
we'll have to wait and see
What's up with the IV's
According to friend who surfed another set of forums, Spartan IV's are a volunteer group that train to become SPartan-like; although better than III's possibly, they are not as amazing as II's.
[editline]5th March 2012[/editline]
Also, I think my flame for Halo has reignited...
Ugh. I keep watching the ViDoc and it's making the wait take forever.
[editline]6th March 2012[/editline]
FUCK YES I WILL BE OLD ENOUGH TO BUY HALO 4 BY MYSELF BY THE TIME IT COMES OUT
Hahaha the game looks so fucking sexy.
Ugh, you're not helping the wait, Kombat!
But I don't like close quarters maps.
I like it when there's a lot of close quarters maps but also some large ones like Avalanche and Sandtrap. Get some variation in there.
What's up with the IV's
They're the latest generation of Spartans mentioned in Glasslands, I'm guessing they'll be like IIIs but with more serious augments and no brain damage
just watched the trailer
jizzed and farted the entire video
Anyone else hoping for a nice remake of Zanzibar?
Fuck, man. That's just a great map if only for the windmill. So memorable.
Zanzibar, one of my favourites. Good idea mate!

I'd also love a Terminal remake, just for that train.
boarding action
I'm probably boring as hell, but I just want Valhalla back. I almost hated Reach's equivalent of the map, whatever that boring piece of shit was called.
Oh and Last Resort. Or Zanzibar. I've played multiplayer only in 3 and Reach.
Im not sure if I like the battle rifle or not, but if the SMG is returning then im throwing all my money at this game.
But the music is sounding amazing.

That as a remake of Blood Gulch not Valhalla, but I do agree, Valhalla wasn't as open so you werent getting shot from across the map all the time.
Also I've got a feeling that Spartan IVs will appear in the campaign.
They better have a Blood Gulch variant.

Oh, yeah. Should have at least known that.
Oh hey, has there been anything about damage bleeding through shields? I absolutely hated how meleeing someone only damaged the shields in Reach, even if they were pretty much non-existent. IIRC Halo 3 did this perfectly.
