i really want to know what they are even going to do for the new xbox not much i can think of to add to it
What?
i really want to know what they are even going to do for the new xbox not much i can think of to add to it
Better hardware? Graphics card, RAM etc. I think they mentioned something about a Kinect 2.0 being built in. Also all the new controllers will have that better D-pad.

better D-pad? and for better hardware and more ram would be kind of useless if they dont get a better disc drive that way you can have big games using those graphics without it being separated on 10 discs

There were rumours of the new xbox getting a Blu-Ray drive. So that would sort out the disk space problem.

uh sony partial owns the company that developed blu-ray drives with some other companys so i really doubt that that would happen

That's what I thought. However Sony may be willing to 'share' for the right price. Microsoft isn't exactly poor.

It's called installing the game to your HHD. I'm sorry but I find it ignorant to say they can't do much more to consoles. A game console is a simplified PC designed for gaming, they are modeled off of PC's and it's current technology (current as in it's current technology at the time of it's design.) Next Gen Consoles will use next gen technology to meet it's goals.

yeah but theres either that for a giant price or the board out votes sony and microsoft gets in on it

yes but pc games are full down loads not played from a disc meaning it can be a lot larger and a current xbox using highest quality graphics like on pcs on a big game like skyrim would mean it would have to be separated on a lot of discs so many developers wouldnt want that to happen and would have to dim down graphics and maybe even physic engines and things like that also theres not much more they could do with the disk drive unless they designed a new one but to switch to a blu-ray
The guy who sold the supposed Durango dev kit on ebay said that it had Blu-ray, but the legitimacy of that is in the air.

hopefully the next xbox will then

You're missing the point. The next Xbox will utilize current technology to meet it's technological demands. DVD's are an outdated format, therefore won't be used.

I might have misunderstood you, but the Durango is the next Xbox.

what is there better than a dvd other than a blu-ray and if they make it so you full down load every game that would be a horrible failure and lose a lot of customers who have slow download speeds because it would take hours and hours to just download 1 game and would make it easier for people to start modding games
I might have misunderstood you, but the Durango is the next Xbox.
thats what i meant hopefully its true and it does have a blu-ray

It's been hinted and pretty much confirmed by developers who have their hands on this technology that Blu-ray, or something similar that can meet current technological demands is used with the next gen xbox. As far as downloading games go, they can easily compress a 10 gig download into like 4 gigs. Since the major of internet gamers have a connection of 1-5 MBPS, downloading wont be a big deal and customers won't be lost. Lastly if for some stupid reason the next Xbox does have DVD's you can simply install the base content to the Xbox (like you can do already) And all non essential content will run off disc.

thats true and if they did still have dvds they might be able to separate it onto multiple ones then you just install each disc and you can do everything for example bf3 has 1 disc for multiplayer then another for campaign it would be you install both then you can do either of that as long as you have disc one in the console that way people couldnt buy it install then sell the discs and it could still run the advanced graphics, worlds, physic systems, etc
edit: also regular full game installs dont take long so it wouldnt take to long to do that
That being said. Halo 5, is going to be unlike any Halo we have ever seen, the possibilities on a next gen Halo, I just get a nerd boner thinking about it.

Halo was never designed to play like battlefield, or COD. Halo plays like Halo, always has, always will.
I hope Halo 5 plays more like Battlefield then Call of Duty.
Halo will always play like Halo.
Or are you funny some how?
I hope Halo 5 plays more like Battlefield then Call of Duty.
I hope it plays like neither and continues to play like Halo.
I hope it plays like neither and continues to play like Halo.
i think he might have meant point wise because i would like it to be like bf3 for points for gameplay it better be like halo lol
Is Halo 2 PC worth buying? Do people play it still?
i think he might have meant point wise because i would like it to be like bf3 for points for gameplay it better be like halo lol
Halo 4 already gives you points for stuff other then Kills.
i think he might have meant point wise because i would like it to be like bf3 for points for gameplay it better be like halo lol
Halo 4's scoring system is much more friendly than previous installments. You get points for many things now.
