Personally I wouldn't mind if Halo was a bit more teamwork oriented than it is now, especially in the Coop department. But no, having Halo play like Battlefield would be a bad idea, considering that Battlefield is beginning to play like another FPS.
It's going to be amazing comparing Halo 4 to Halo 5. It's already quite impressive to compare Halo 3 to Halo 4. I hope to see the return of 'Global Battles' that was removed from Reach. Scarabs fighting around you etc.
Whoa, just searched up Global Battle. Dear god it looks like Killzone 2 but even more hectic. Do want. (Also it's weird looking at old Reach footage that looks like a reskinned Halo 3) Here's a video of it: Skip to 7:40 to see it
So many cool features were taken out of Reach, probably due to time constraints. Although being able to board a hunter would be a little overpowered.

I mean that gameplay was running too smoothly for a build running on the xbox for the amount of resources on screen.

I wish they would bring it back.

Is there an actual list for each game for what was taken out becuase of time restraints and such, could be interesting to look at.
Is there an actual list for each game for what was taken out becuase of time restraints and such, could be interesting to look at.
Nope, those usually all top secret, only the things that bungie/microsoft/343i show off behind the scenes is all that general public knows. Hell there is some stuff that that was cut from Halo 4 that had potential to be epic, but didn't make the cut, wish I could talk about a few of them.
Is there an actual list for each game for what was taken out becuase of time restraints and such, could be interesting to look at.
Bungie talked about various cut things and bugs before Halo Reach's launch in the Weekly Updates. [editline]13th August 2012[/editline]
Flying the Infinity would be pretty cool if that was cut content.
That would probably take up the entire screen. :v:
Flying the Infinity would be pretty cool if that was cut content.
Flying ships that big would be retarded, you'd have to have maps about 10x max. Hammer size to even be able to have any space to fly around with it, they aren't meant to be flown in battles and unless you play 64v64, the scale would be way too small to make it enjoyable. Having space combat with static spaceships while flying the smaller ones like Seraphs or Sabres would be okay, but ships that are >3KM in length aren't supposed to be flown around by one person, and especially not in a multiplayer game.
how would you even know about them O.o
He's a playtester for certain modes, he knows more about Halo 4 than anyone on these forums, probably.
He's a playtester for certain modes, he knows more about Halo 4 than anyone on these forums, probably.
ah thats damn cool how did he become a play tester
ah thats damn cool how did he become a play tester
I could be wrong, but as far as I know it's pretty easy to become a playtester.
I could be wrong, but as far as I know it's pretty easy to become a playtester.
Not too easy otherwise the entire community would all go "Gibe beta pls" like they always do, not to playtest but to see more of the game before it launches. Didn't Delta say he was working at a company for it?
theres a way to test xbox stuff like new dashboards and things like that and since 343 and halo are owned by them it might be part of that but i dont remember what that program was called
Its nothing like that. Game companies normally test with Friends and Family, Outside companies, and their publisher. 343 has said most of their testing is internal with Microsoft and their partner companies.

All you'd have to do is scale down the model and make it a rail road sequence.
i doubt they would make you actually get to fly a ship but it would be cool if they did or even a cut scene
Yeah that's why I said an on rails sequence like in Liar of the Shadow Broker for Mass Effect 2 or some of those awesome space moments in Dead Space 2.
Yeah that's why I said an on rails sequence like in Liar of the Shadow Broker for Mass Effect 2 or some of those awesome space moments in Dead Space 2.
You mean those terrible moments of on rail flying? I have a heavy dislike for it, especially after SWTOR.
You mean those terrible moments of on rail flying? I have a heavy dislike for it, especially after SWTOR.
SWTOR is a terrible example for how to do it, I would look into how Dead Space 2 did it or how Lost Planet 2 did it.
SWTOR is a terrible example for how to do it, I would look into how Dead Space 2 did it or how Lost Planet 2 did it.
Mass Effect did the exact same thing. It just doesn't belong in a Halo game, it is just a distraction and really, Master Chief doesn't need to have a flying scene.
Halo is all about dynamic battles powered by an awesome physics engine. No on rails sequences for Halo please. You'll never be caught!
I wish we had multiplayer space combat, space is one of the biggest parts of the Halo Universe and its always left untouched.
Yeah but honestly that seems less like part of a main Halo game and a concept to be saved for a spinoff or something
Make an alt. account on a friends computer and reveal everything. You'll never be caught!
Well if he gets caught he'd get fired, sued for tens-, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars, and probably never be able to work in the industry ever again.
