I'm not so sure about Halo and city settings.
Practically every time (Not counting ODST) that a Halo game has had a city setting, it seems the level went from the "Linear story" end of the linear spectrum (Which is what all linear FPS's need to be) all the way over to the "Corridor Shooter" end of the spectrum of linearity. Halo 2 especially.

Was recently playing a Grifball game. The score was tied, and things were getting close and we were going back and forth with the bomb.
I was holding the bomb and told my friends that we should share, and I then threw the bomb over to the enemy team and they scored it.
My friends then kicked me out of the party and the dude sent me a message thanking me for the bomb.
He is also now my friend.
Team work goes both ways.
