Yeah, Spartan ops is basically a TV series you play.
And here I thought they were exaggerating when they said that. If it weren't for the fact that I'll be pushing through college applications at the time, I'd start begging for November 6th to drop immediately.
I've been going to http://www.halounity.com , and it'll be where my main forum once I get myself banned in November.
In the meantime, I'm pulling out of this thread very soon. Spoilers are now floating around, which means it's time for me to bounce.
no body likes it and shift said he wouldnt use it but i dont think its so bad when you find the good threads and i will also be disappearing from facepunch once halo 4 is out
Oh my, the same guy who found that never before seen Halo 3 easter egg last week also discovered an interesting one in, oddly, the Halo Reach beta.

I for one will be on facepunch during release date. I'll probably beat the game within 12 hours or so anyway.
One thing I haven't been able to figure out about Spartan Ops: Will seasons be replay-able, or is it a continuous set of missions that can only be done once, on a certain day/week?
I like that none of the Achievements are MP related other then ranking up, which I believe you can also do in Spartan Ops.

Once you have access to the content, you have it forever. Season 1 is entirely free (50 levels 5 on disk and 5 added every week.) After seasons will cost an additional fee. I wouldn't expect them to be more than 10 bucs each season.

Theatre and screenshots can be done from Single player, Challenges depending on what they require you to do can be done single player, Spartan Ops can be done by yourself.
The only MP Specific achievements there are 'I <3 Red vs Blue' and 'The Dongblainer'
Emblem, Service Tag and Armour can be changed without playing MP I'm guessing because they'll probably be done from the game menu not in a match.
And I think you can rank up with Spartan Ops as well so those don't count.
Forge is forge, don't need to play with other people for that, same with making a custom game mode.

It looks more like a basic level block in that made it to the MP map, since they can straight up rip them from the world the campaign hints/notes for designers may have mistakenly been left there.

Ahh, I understand your initial point now. Apologies for misunderstanding.

I wouldn't see why they'd make it a one-shot thing. Since it's supposed to be played with friends, the planets would have to align in order for everyone to have a clear schedule in the window the Ops would be available.
EBGames Canada is doing a contest, if you Pre-order Halo 4 you get a card with a contest code on it, you enter it in the site for a draw.
There are 3 rounds, but they've only revealed the first one so far, Its 28,000 Microsoft Points, and 3 1 year subscription Cards which ends this Saturday, I'm guessing the next round will start after that.
I Pre-ordered before they started the contest, but I'm sure if they ask they'll give me a contest card. I'll ahve to read the rules, it might only be eligible for people who pre-ordered after a certain date.

If they won't give you one just cancel it and place another prepurchase on it
The problem being with that, is I didn't pre-order it. It was pre-ordered under my name, but my mother is the one who paid for it as a early 'Christmas' present.
So I wouldn't be able to get the money back because it would go back into her bank account, and she doesn't live in the same province as me.
So hopefully they'll just give me one if I bring the receipt in.

Yeah, it's probably a stand-in for when they were designing/play testing the room and didn't have the Halsey model/animations finished.
I find it funny how they used a cardboard cutout of Halsey in an actual game
Technically, you and everyone who already pre-ordered should be eligable considering you knew about this purchase already. If they won't give you the code, that would be kind of rude; you already paid for the game, why should you not be eligible?
Else, beat them up and steal the cards.

A. Sometimes preordering prior to bonuses were available may lead to ineligibility, in some cases at gamestop the only work around is what ccritical said, cancel and re-preorder.
B. It's not the employee being rude, in many cases there were times I couldn't do that during my 5 years of working at EB/Gamestop from 06-11.
C. All redeem codes are not printed on receipt at time of transaction.

What did Frankie do at Bungie? I only really remember him writing the weekly updates and if that's all he did that's pretty funny considering now he's in charge of the Franchise.
