Or how about Firefight on several Halo 2 locations, New Mombasa, Cairo station (HQ that shit!) and all the other cool places you visit.

When you think about it, that little Marine base and the surrounding roads would be a great map. At least in my opinion.
I wonder if there is a way to convince 343i into doing a Halo2:A. Twitter bomb, or petition. Or something. Unless they are working on it already and they're keeping it quiet until it's near completion.

They refuse to comment on future plans or speculation or rumor. But considering they didn't outright say "no fuck Halo 2"... Its quite possible, and probably after Halo 4's release (I'd assume either right after, or while Halo 5 is being made around 2013-2014, as 2014 is when Halo 2 will be 10 years old). I'd say a petition and getting people active on the forums of both here and Waypoint would be best.
Normally I would stop posting these since some of you don't care, but is this guy right when he is saying Halo CE PC sold less than 100k copies? I can't find a single sales figure source. He has some major fallacies either way. It shouldn't matter if people cry or moan, that has no impact on if it deserves a port or not. Halo PC was also released in 2003, Two (2) years after Halo CE in 2001. In other words, there is a reason it sold less, hype and the fact everyone who wanted it, got it in 2001. It also wouldn't hurt the Xbox version as yet again, 2003 vs 2001 and done by a different developer (Gearbox). To say a port to PC would hurt the 360 or Halo 4 is insane and inane.
The Prometheans were living at one point, maybe they've just been taken over by AI, hence the skull? Reminds me of those suits from the Fallout New Vegas DLC. http://www.halopedia.org/Promethean
I have a feeling they're similar to Guilty spark, in that they were once a being who were converted into AI and placed into these machines. In that video Wolfkill states "they're not robots" Or maybe she just meant that in their behavior that they dont act like what people think when they think robot.
I just watched the vidoc and noticed it was again mostly PR crap but I really liked the visuals for most things and I have to say my favourite part was: "We didn't want the Prometheans to come off monsters so we made them yell at you with a glowing red skull"
Honestly, Halo 2 deserved an HD remake better than Halo CE, simply for the fact that Halo 2 had so many visual bugs and errors while Halo CE had way less (granted, Bungie was rushed to make Halo 2 and it was more complex, but still). I wouldn't mind a Halo2A at all.

I never encountered any at all in campaign but most of them actually made mutiplayer better and a lot more fun with things like BXR and BXB. The only thing I didn't like was super bouncing in matchmaking I hated those people.

Because lets be honest, Halo 2 had a shitton of visual bugs and things that made it look worse that it could have been.

That vidoc got me so fucking pumped you don't even know I love everything Bungie has ever made but i'm SERIOUSLY thinking that 343 is gonna rival Bungie's work on Halo in ONE game. Anyways, still nothing on the flood, huh? It feels like it's been a while, haven't seen any flood since Halo Wars :(

That's what I've been debating, but they're definitely taking the series a lot further. If they keep this up, they will have bypassed bungie by the end of the Forerunner trilogy imho [editline]13th September 2012[/editline] oh nvm it's spartan, i forgot to not listen to him lol
It's really hard to rival a company that basically made everything for you.
He's obviously talking about overall production value and quality of the game. 343 is sparing no expense with Halo.
i mean look at those visuals oh man yes
The game had terrible texture pop, bad LOD transitions and that screen burn, just to name a few.
Halo CE Anniversary had horrible texture loading as well, so assuming it would be on that same engine, the problem wouldn't be fixed.
The leap from Reach to 4 technology wise is looking pretty huge looks are like 1/4 of the game also if they hold up to the whole humanization of chief and the whole cortana bullshit, that's a MAJOR development of the story which is like another 1/4 like i said, if this kind of work is done for the next 2 games in the trilogy, it'd bypass the original by quite a bit.
Halo CE Anniversary had horrible texture loading as well, so assuming it would be on that same engine, the problem wouldn't be fixed.
That's true, but I had less problems with it there than I did on Halo 2. The original didn't really have this problem iirc, while the Anniversary edition did.
Hey everyone have a buttface: [sp]Cortana did this[/sp]
Halo CE Anniversary had horrible texture loading as well, so assuming it would be on that same engine, the problem wouldn't be fixed.
I didn't experience any bad texture loading. Are you sure it was an issue? Or perhaps you didn't install the game to your HDD? I usually install any game that I play often.

October is going to be a very long month.
