Oh boy, in regards to the reveal of the remake map:
Less than Thirty sleeps, more than seven.
i bet its narrows
Hey guys, i have a problem. Yesterday i played some H3 ODST Firefight and i got some really nice pics, problem is that Bungie don't update their Halo stuff and i can't find the Halo 3 ODST screenshots on Waypoint. Help?
We're out of luck. From what I can gather all the fileshare data is going to 343 (since Bungie isn't seeing any of it), they just haven't hooked up ODST/3 to the web interface. Maybe after Halo 4 is released and everything calms down they'll start working on it.
Holy fuck that thread in the Videos forum fuck me it's like they're trying to be as misinformed as possible
Just leave it alone. They're going out of their way to not like Halo, there's no changing it. (7,777 posts in the halo thread?)
Holy fuck that thread in the Videos forum fuck me it's like they're trying to be as misinformed as possible
Yeah, everyone thinks they are right about what they are talking about, when all of them are wrong to some extent. [editline]14th September 2012[/editline]
Just leave it alone. They're going out of their way to not like Halo, there's no changing it.
Ya know, we're allowed to debate Halo with other FP users who are misinformed. And I will continue to do just that in a civilized manner. What king is referring to is people who are giving misinformation about the plot and lore of the extended universe. And not "Going out of their way to not like Halo."
Ya know, we're allowed to debate Halo with other FP users who are misinformed. And I will continue to do just that in a civilized manner.
Yes, yes, we know you will. We're just saying its a wasted effort to. Honestly, who gives a shit if they're misinformed? Its not like you should find it insulting. Just let them be wrong, and move on. Who really gives a damn.
Delta, you're free to do whatever you like. I was just offering my advice and opinion to KingKombat.
ODST was good, although the last two missions being one big protection mission was annoying. I liked the story, and the audio logs (I was actually happy with what happened in the end of that)
ODST was good, although the last two missions being one big protection mission was annoying. I liked the main story, I just have no idea how it fit together (How could the rookie possibly know about what happened to the rest of the squad from a damaged helmet or a biofoam container)
The audio logs made it more interesting, you can even find the blown-up Oliphant mentioned in one of them. I actually listened to them all on H3 ODST's site but i did collect them all both solo and with my brother.

Maybe give the rookie lower health or have it when you're spotted by a squad they can call for backup via a phantom.
You need stealth at higher difficulties.
Pretty much. Although also an effective strategy is "FUCKING HELL RUN AWAY AND AVOID THEIR BULLETS!". Works for me everytime with Hunters.
Pretty much. Although also an effective strategy is "FUCKING HELL RUN AWAY AND AVOID THEIR BULLETS!". Works for me everytime with Hunters.
Are you kidding me? Every hunter I see I always melee them to death. Nothing makes you feel more masculine than beating a Hunter down.
You need stealth at higher difficulties.
If you break their shields with a plasma weapon then headshot them, its pretty easy to take them on. Its totally legitimate.
Are you kidding me? Every hunter I see I always melee them to death. Nothing makes you feel more masculine than beating a Hunter down.
...yeah that works too. But that means I'm the sneaky ODST. Rarely I ain't sneakin' 'round Hunters. I mean I could take down Hunters easily, problem is I am bad at killing Brutes.
I liked the main story, I just have no idea how it fit together (How could the rookie possibly know about what happened to the rest of the squad from a damaged helmet or a biofoam container)
The Superintendent showed him footage of what happened.
The Superintendent showed him footage of what happened.
I always thought he just stumbled around the city for a few hours till his squad mates called him.

Rather ironic that the instructor's actor is the same guy that plays Dutch.
The Superintendent showed him footage of what happened.
That makes more sense than him just imagining the events and getting lucky, but did the Superintendent get WiFi or something that it couldn't use for the city map or audio logs? He's nowhere near a terminal in half of the cut scenes.

In ONI Alpha Site, the AI expresses that he doesn't want you to blow up the bridge by saying "Please respect public property!". When the police officer informs the AI that Covenant will overrun the data centers, the AI responds with "Toll accepted, have a pleasant trip!". I love it!
I love how when you get the last audio log and deal with Kinzlers officer, he chimes in with "Crime Doesn't Pay"
Yea, Super is my favorite. A poor little city AI that can't understand why the aliens are attacking and killing his people :(
Since we are sorta on the subject of new mombasa, anyone else think a ace combat type game/level in new mombasa where say you are dogfighting banshees and phantoms in one of those drones would be really cool?

Aircraft actually function as aircraft, squad leaders, large scale combat. Do it, 343.
Battlefield-style Halo game. Aircraft actually function as aircraft, squad leaders, large scale combat. Do it, 343.
I've been wanting this ever since Halo 2.
