Yup, i'm picking up game at midnight, playing the entire campaign on heroic either by myself or with a buddy via system link, couple hours sleep. Right back at it to MP. Have to go and vote sometime in the morning though, and make an appearance at work.
Ah, fair enough. We should see if we can assemble a multiplayer party later on.
Also, Delta, I feel like I should ask about the title...
Never played it. What's the story about it, does it have anything to do with the main games?
Never played ODST either, should probably try and get it somewhere before Halo 4 comes out.
Set 5 years after the first engagement with the Covenant on Harvest.
I didnt like its campaign because it became another "save the universe" plot which is pretty annoying I was hoping for a game about fighting the Covenant without giant ancient alien super weapons involved in the plot, and just fighting to stop their crusade.
The war went on for 27 years most battles had nothing to do with Forerunners and Covenant trying to activate galactic super weapons.
Yeah I didn't really like Halo Wars story because of how they added in the Flood and made it another battle over Forerunner stuff and somethings seemed like really bad hamfisted nudges like the Pillar of Autumn. I also did not like the new units.
I think he's talking about motion blur. the blur might be an attempt to hide a low framerate in certain situation/areas. crysis 2 had it as well.
Crysis 2's 'ghosting' was actually because of a fake MSAA implementation
not sure about Reach's cause, it might just be some kind of odd frame interpolation or something
I miss the Flood, I really enjoyed some of their levels.
The thing that bothered me about wars was these introductions to a bunch of new units without any explanation of why the UNSC doesn't use them later.
heh, just found out that cortana says "I am your shield, I am your sword."
all these years I thought she said soul, not sword.

I never played much of the game, only the demo. Can't find it anywhere. But for an RTS I don't like the gameplay they decided to go with. Basically to win just spam warthogs, tanks, and spartans. GG. There is no strategy involved, just late game units that decide who wins.
Nevermind, found a copy on Amazon.ca. I always hear about this site but never used it until now. Soon my Halo collection will be complete!

Banshee's continued acts of trolling. No point of my wasting the money to change it, him or his buddies will just change it back to something stupid. Like I care what my title is anyway.

It doesn't matter anymore, however look at my title.

I personally like it but whatever.
I wonder what Halo 5 is going to be about. Will it take place on the Elite homeworld? Earth? or another shield world?

Well the covenant are a very small focus of this trilogy, so I would count that possibility out. Earth seems unlikely because Halo 2 and ODST, although i'd love to see more. I want to say something to do with the flood. As we will now have weapons designed to destroy the flood.
I want to see Audre II again! "This is not your grave...but you are welcome..in it." AWESOME.

I would personally want to see more of Earth because in Halo 2 and 3 it felt like you were there for too short of a time and odst was the same place we were in during Halo 2, so it be nice to see a part of Earth that isnt Mombasa or the sorrounding area.
I want Arbiter and Chief to meet up again at least once.
In fact, I doubt 343i wouldn't do that.
What are you taking about? Halo is about master chief and shooting elites, nobody cares about dumb arbiter or what happened in the previous games
[sp]/sarcasm[/sp]
Seriously though, I really hope they do. Arbiter is far more interesting to me than Chief.

Thing is, the Covenant really didn't invade Earth, only Mombasa and Cleveland. Mombasa for the Ark, Cleveland because some UNSC captain lied to a Brute to fuck with the Covie forces and told him the key to activating the Ark was under the city.
Instead, most of the Covenant fleet engaged the UNSC fleet in orbit/atmosphere and then went to Africa to excavate the Portal.
How many people even play Reach's online anymore? I'm curious
:v:
Plenty.
The game's still very well populated.

What happened to just enjoying games? Goddamn. I play Battlefield, Halo and Call of Duty.
Don't you have something better to do than be upset over how a game in a series is trying to change itself and be fresh?

Well not to start anything up but there can be many issues when a game series is changed.

Next time make the font a tiny bit smaller, the O is cut off. Unless Gaylc is what you were going for.

I didn't notice any motion blur in Reach, I might not have been looking for it though. Crysis 2 on the other hand had terrible motion blur, and disabling it made it run faster and look better on my PC.
Any specific areas where the blur is the worst? I'd like to see it.

Here have the many faces of Keyes in Anniversary.

It wasn't your standard type of motion blur, if it was intended to be blur at all. Sometimes it would appear for no good reason, especially on objects that weren't moving fast enough to warrant blur at all.
Here's a random screenshot I found yesterday. Imagine this effect on everything.

Edit:
Here's what it looked like during the beta of Reach. They reduced the effect at the request of testers before the final release, but not completely.

Makes it a little more obvious that it's not so much motion blur as it is a failed attempt at frame blending or something similar.
