This is accurate. It's pretty fun, and the plot is what you'd expect from Halo (not the best game, but, yeah).

Good. As long as it's either free, or a cosmetic microtransaction, I see no reason why it's a problem.
If so I guess that means that 343 has changed the engine so that content no longer has to be hardcoded into maps. Should save a ton of storage space.
I can't believe Bungie had that in their engine since Oni and never changed it. Makes adding new things in from DLC and updates that much harder. Would've loved armor DLC for Reach.

Okay if I see them even so much as post a joke image of Warthog Armor DLC I would laugh my ass off so damn hard I'd probably do everyone a favour and die.
But then you'd miss the Campaign DLC which costs 1/3rd the original game's price, adding two new mini campaigns for the UNSC and Prometheans that play exactly the same.

I personally wouldn't mind paying money for an armor dlc, adding in about 4 or 5 armor permitations and making it about 2 dollars seems like a fair deal.
Plus its cosmetic, so people can't bitch about it.

Personally I'm slowly catching up in the DLC market with map packs and stuff. I only need two more for Halo 3, and 2 for Reach. Then once I get Wars I'll look into their DLCs.

People always think of a way to bitch about something, theres no way to make everyone happy.
So the Halo 3 MP disk I got with ODST contains all the original/DLC multiplayer maps for Halo 3, I did not realise this. I just assumed it was just the base game + a map pack, not all of them combined.

Don't know how you missed that, considering the fact the box and disc of the second disc says "The complete Halo 3 Multiplayer experience." :P
I thought it meant it was the complete multiplayer "experience" from the Halo 3 disk, i.e. it was just Halo 3 without the campaign.
Kinda annoyed that it's separate though, I can't "add" it to my copy of Halo 3.
I'm okay with armor DLC. It's apparent that they added a fuckload of armor to the base game already

I'd be okay with some cheap Armour DLC's. You don't have to buy them to get the most out of the Multiplayer like map packs, but it does give me an opportunity to get rid of my leftover microsoft points after buying said map packs and arcade games.
