Someone made a Halo themed ship corridor in the Cry engine. Ahh, didn't realize this was late, never seen it until today.
Wouldn't there still be flood on the Delta Halo Ring?, last time I checked there was masses of them just having endless mindless wars with robots.
Last I heard the covenant or Elites were busy glassing Delta Halo.
What a shame. I really loved Delta Halo's tropical style in comparison to Alpha Halo.
What a shame. I really loved Delta Halo's tropical style in comparison to Alpha Halo.
I assume alpha would have the same setting but we were just in a diffrent part of the ring.
I assume alpha would have the same setting but we were just in a diffrent part of the ring.
Yeah, but specifically Delta Halo's control room was surrounded by tropical scenery, whereas Alpha's was in an arctic area.
Played Halo 3 in a long time, I feel so lazy with it after playing in the PC for a while and not using the Box. [sp];_;[/sp] help me
Jump into the battlefield directly. Get a feel for the controls.
Why would we classify halo 4 as a genetic shooter?
Because Halo is a generic shooter
Because Halo is a generic shooter
Your telling me forge mode, custimizable armor, theater, and grifball are all generic and included in every shooter?
Your telling me forge mode, custimizable armor, theater, and grifball are all generic and included in every shooter?
Gameplay is still the same with only a gimmick or two, gamemodes don't matter. Throw in some proper hand-to-hand combat and it would stop being a generic first person shooter.
Your telling me forge mode, custimizable armor, theater, and grifball are all generic and included in every shooter?
Ignore and report him, he only comes in here to troll.
Sorry, my first Halo campaign sessions are with close friends in LAN only.
My first run is solo legendary, since ODST theres been an achievement for doing it on legendary solo.
yeah fuck the lore let's retcon it and say he's permanently dead anyways i want to get a group for halo 4 co-op when it comes out, whos in?
I'd love to, but the time difference between US and Finland is probably a bit too large, and I'm not sure if we'll even get the game at the same date. Games are almost always released on Fridays here, and the sixth is Tuesday. Also my mic's lost :v: I wish I had friends to co-op it. Still, if someone from Europe wants to co-op the campaign, I'm in.
After 10 years I have finally nearly finished Two Betrayals on Legendary in Halo. Nearly. A little bit more to do.
Because Halo is a generic shooter
I've always felt like Halo in the Custom Games side of the game, felt like it was a mash of all genre's together. I mean you can race, Halo sports, mazes, puzzles, survival games, etc. One of the things I love about Halo is how much of a sandbox it really is when compared to other shooters.
One thing Halo manages to do really well (which has become a bit less over every new instalment in my opinion) is the exploration. If you try hard enough, you can reach almost any visible spot on a map, especially in campaign. Just think of Metropolis, Outskirts and Delta Halo in Halo 2. As I've said before, the downside with the newer instalments is that Halo 3 added a load of invisible walls, while Reach decided to up it even further and add soft-barriers, aka countdowns to death. Still, even with these restriction halo has a hell of a lot more freedom to explore than say, Call of Duty, Battlefield or Gears of War.
Because Halo is a generic shooter
Every shooter is generic...
Every shooter is generic...
That's a pretty ignorant generalization.
What makes Halo stick out is every title has improvements to it's core game play, engine, new mechanics that integrate well with the style we all love. And you know, the developers make the game with care and respect.
That's a pretty ignorant generalization.
So is saying Halo is a generic shooter. So sue me.
After 10 years I have finally nearly finished Two Betrayals on Legendary in Halo. Nearly. A little bit more to do.
Oh man, 10 years for one level? Tell us when you're done with Halo 4 :v:
Gameplay is still the same with only a gimmick or two, gamemodes don't matter.
I would make an argument involving how powerful and dep narrative can change a game entirely but i know you, you got banned for being a confessed troll in here.
Lol, Gimmick.
The word "gimmick" gets thrown around so much in video game discussion, it's lost all meaning. Anything could be classified as a "gimmick" now, when originally a gimmick meant that the game sucks but has one interesting feature/mechanic. Wanna know a gimmicky game? Fracture. That game is gimmicky because it takes a neat idea (a shooter where you can modify terrain) and implements it horribly. Even CoD isn't gimmicky because it doesn't have any outstanding features.
