Ok the Jackals is a huge change but the others are really just changes in their gear makes them look strange to us.

Actually, killstreaks in COD are fucking bullshit. In Halo, you just get a personal ordnance which is way more fair IMO

'killstreak' is a big overstatement for what you actually get in Halo
Plus "killstreaks" are the wrong word. Kills are not the only thing that attribute to it. If anything they should be nicknamed 'point streaks' because anything that gives you points (Assists, distractions, etc.) adds to it.

well they're called ordinance drops but seeing as CoD was one of the games that made the system popular, it seems unnatural to call them anything but what cod does

Somehow, I wouldn't be surprised if he could survive a direct, point-blank hit from a Forerunner energy weapon, the activation and subsequent destruction of a Halo, and likely the secondary destruction of the Ark.

I never realized adapting popular mechanics like weapon skins, infinity ordinance drops (that are only weapons, ammo, and power up, all things that existed in Halo to being with) = heavily mimicking from COD. Not to mention these are for certain games modes. Don't like it? Don't fucking play those gamemodes.
Comparing Ordinance drops to killstreaks or care packages is just fucking retarded, it WAY overstating what it is.

I'm trying to play them all (In order, or as close as possible) before Halo 4 comes out, it's just that Halo 2 isn't co-operating (the first copy I bought won't load Cairo Station, and the second copy has been sitting at the post office for a week since they decided not to deliver it or leave a note)

I'd like to imagine he found his own Longsword or Pelican in the desert, which may have just made a crash landing trying to leave the Autumn before it touched down, and then got taken by Flood. Johnson being the badass he is, cleared it out and was fighting that one Elite for it before the Autumn went kablooey.
But there was time for him to headbutt the Elite during the surprise grope and jump in, take off, get propelled around the other side of the planet hidden from Cortana's life scan, slingshot, and then just tag the Chief all the way home.
Johnson could do it.

The First strike book actually explains how Johnson escaped and got back to Earth, in a way he did end up tagging along with Chief.
