I don't think Master Chief is really lacking in humanity he just doesn't talk about it since that role is for Cortana in the games. I get your point but I don't like her redesign so I'm a bit biased.
That new pelican is one of the ugliest piece of aircraft I've laid eyes on.

I miss ye olde one, but I like this one. I think it's paradoxical that UNSC tech is now starting to look more advanced than our current tech (new BR, railgun, MJOLNIR gen 2), but the Pelican looks like an 80s-era dropship, but I don't necessarily dislike it.

Has anyone else been trying to figure out what the forerunner guns are going to use for ammo? I know the scatershot uses shells, but I'm at a loss as to what they would use for the others. Mags just seem archaic, and I would assume the Forerunners would have mastered plasma based weapons that didn't run on a battery.

Just read the goddamn books, all of them. They're amasing books, others may disagree but, alot of them made me want to read the others to simpley found out more on the halo lore, but again even if your not a fan of the lore they are quite a good read.

Apologise, it was a general message to the whole of the fanbase, people complain about the books before they even read them.
The hate for Glasslands was founded though, the writer is horrible, she likes to ignore fiction that comes before her work (see her Star Wars novels) and then, being a Hypocrite, hates it when people ignore/retcon her work. (Again, see her Star Wars novels)
Hey now, the commando books were alright. It's not like Lucas can write worth a damn either, and its his fiction.
But you are right, the fact the Traviss wrote grasslands is pretty much why I haven't read it yet.

I want halo wars to be LARGER scale, it was too small and based around your units in the original, base building came second to kicking ass, and i don't like that
