Frankie also said the Flood weren't in the game but look how that turned out.
But they aren't in the game, it's just a player model for multiplayer. Also, am I the only person who sorta likes the music in the weapons montages? :v: [editline]26th September 2012[/editline]
-beautiful image- More Valhalla. Mechs in Multiplayer?
... I need to go buy new breeches, excuse me.
Frankie also said the Flood weren't in the game but look how that turned out.
No, Frankie said the flood we're not in Halo 4's campaign.
I think they were hinting at the Valhalla Remake in the 343 Podcast "2 bases... shooting over hills" talking about SWAT on the map. [editline]27th September 2012[/editline]
Frankie also said the Flood weren't in the game but look how that turned out.
He said the campaign, not multiplayer.
I wouldn't count the flood out on future installments through, one thing I liked in Halo:Legends was that brief scene of a flood form giving chief some sort of computer chip.
Maybe, but I think if we see the Flood again, they'll be the least of our problems. As far as we know, all existent Flood were eradicated when Installation 04-2 fired over the Ark, taking out the Gravemind. There is likely some spores left on the other Halos, but I bet they'll be glassed before we set foot on them. That means, unless there are surprises, if there are any Flood left in the galaxy...[sp]the Precursors probably put them there[/sp].
So a few people debating on the other side of your opinion = being a dick to everyone on the thread?
No, the heat from the debate got to me and I let it control me for a bit too long. For fuck's sake I was trying to apologize.
No, the heat from the debate got to me and I let it control me for a bit too long. For fuck's sake I was trying to apologize.
Wait there was heat to that debate? I thought it was just us discussing what we thought infected Spartans would look like.
i'm not one for edm usually because it's usually repetitive to me, but the trailer music so far has been really good
Wait there was heat to that debate? I thought it was just ask discussing what we thought infected Spartans would look like.
He apologized, done. Stop sparking drama from 2 hours ago.
He apologized, done. Stop sparking drama from 2 hours ago.
I only read like 3 posts so I really didn't see anything sorry.
I decided to look up Halo 4s Lead Programmer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corrinne_Yu Holy shit, shes awesome.
Yu programmed on the Space Shuttle program at Rockwell International California. She designed and conducted accelerator experiments at LINAC in California and the accelerator at Brookhaven National Laboratory. Her nuclear physics research won her a national award from the U.S. Department of Energy.

I decided to look up Halo 4s Lead Programmer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corrinne_Yu Holy shit, shes awesome.
Further proof Halo is in great hands with 343, they hired the best of the best.
I decided to look up Halo 4s Lead Programmer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corrinne_Yu Holy shit, shes awesome.
Pfft, I could do that in my sleep! What an amateur.
I'm curious, is assassinating required now, or can you still pull the old walk up behind somebody and bash their spine in without doing several backflips in the process. I hated them in Halo: Reach.. I'd go to melee somebody, hold the button a second too long and end up getting shot in the face while performing the assassination animation.

Delta can fill you in more since he's a playtester apparently.
I think a gameplay video showed a non-animation assassination, I could be wrong. [editline]27th September 2012[/editline]
I hated them in Halo: Reach.. I'd go to melee somebody, hold the button a second too long
why hold it anyways? Just tap quickly.
It's probably going to be a the same as Reach but with tweaks that make normal assassinations easier. Delta can fill you in more since he's a playtester apparently.
It would be good to know it was annoying enough to some others to warrant tweaks. I don't care if it's in the game for others to use, I just don't want to be pulled into it at really bad times. [editline]27th September 2012[/editline]
I think a gameplay video showed a non-animation assassination, I could be wrong. [editline]27th September 2012[/editline] why hold it anyways? Just tap quickly.
During intense fights I'd mash the button a little too hard and it'd be counted as a hold.
I'd do the same damn thing, get stuck in a corridor performing an assassination while the enemy team is shooting me.
I'd do the same damn thing, get stuck in a corridor performing an assassination while the enemy team is shooting me.
It's a lot like Taunting in TF2.. You do it for show, and while you're enjoying the moment the entire enemy team rushes around the corner and demolishes you.
I'm curious, is assassinating required now, or can you still pull the old walk up behind somebody and bash their spine in without doing several backflips in the process.
You can do both.
IMO it's better for balancing if animated assassinations are required.
You can do both.
Any idea if what is counted as one type or the other has been tweaked at all? It was pretty sensitive previously. [editline]27th September 2012[/editline]
IMO it's better for balancing if animated assassinations are required.
Or, you know, removed entirely.
-Snip, doesn't matter. The guys is an idiot.
If you practice not holding down melee you'll have an easier time with assassinations.
If you practice not holding down melee you'll have an easier time with assassinations.
I don't really believe that though since I've tapped melee for like a split second and it's still done the animated assassinations.
Or you know, shoot the fucker.
I don't really believe that though since I've tapped melee for like a split second and it's still done the animated assassinations.
I don't have that issue.
I don't have that issue.
It might just be lag than for me.
Another way assassination animations could be set up is something like how Banshee rolls work, where you slide one of the sticks in a certain direction while meleeing to perform an animation, but without suddenly moving the stick you just get a normal quick kill. Might not work as intended seeing as normal movement could get in the way of trying to pull off a non-animated kill, but I'd like to see how it would play out.
