BIG IMAGE INBOUND
Blarg, I hate the fact that Halo Reach is the only Halo game to have Campaign matchmaking. It had the worst Campaign of the series by far in my opinion.
[editline]1st April 2012[/editline]
Also, I'm wondering how the DMR and BR will compare in Halo 4. Didn't expect them to both be in the game.

Where'd you get the info on both of them being in the game?

They mentioned it in the March Sparkast.

I think Reach's campaign was forgivable, I mean, for one, Halo is to Bungie as Metal Gear is to Hideo Kojima, they were both stuck developing it over and over again because of the previous success, and just wanted to be done with it.
And to be honest, Halo has been a multiplayer-centric game since Halo 2. Campaign's pretty much been just been a publisher requirement they had to work with.

...and that's exactly what I want Halo 4 to change.

"Chief faces his toughest adversary yet - The creator of the Halo Rings"
More Halo 4 info next month.
We might get the info before that.. don't subscribers usually get issues weeks in advance?

I'm sure Frank and 343 know what they're doing.
I agree with Funky Pickle. It's obvious they're trying to make the singleplayer as captivating as possible for these last three major installments.

Looks like Chief has the Armour Ability attachment area like the Spartans in Reach.
Didn't see that on any of the MP Spartan 4s though.
Just noticing how huge the armor jets are, too. Interesting.
Almost finished Glasslands.

I find it hard to believe Chief is fighting the Forerunners of all people, they should stay dead they're better that way.
I was expecting something new.

I'm waiting for the game before anything. The Covenant is back, so we might not be always dealing with the 'runners.
Did bungie leave us a hint to their next project in their farewell to halo stat page? "See You Starside"
They said those words before, in the credits of Halo Reach. Just a thought.
Just a reference to Marathon.
Thats just their way of saying Good Bye
I heard that this Months Gameinformer is suppose to have Campaign info.
Yeah, apparently this Thursday is the earliest we're getting at least [i]something[/i].

How in the hell can there be 16.1 billion beatdown medals if only 13.4 billion people were beat down in Halo 3?
wut

Double beat downs, and shooting with the assault rifle and punching were all the rage in Halo 3.
[editline]2nd April 2012[/editline]
Plus the gravity hammer, and energy sword. Then all the gametypes that used them (griffball, infection and team melee)

Yeah, but wouldn't you still get two beat down medals for that kind or stuff, and wouldn't the shooting and punching still count as a beatdown if that's what killed them? The number of beatdowns should be at most equal to, but more realistically less than the number of actual beatdowns (because of assassination and such).

I think you misunderstood me, by double beating down I mean punching someone twice, resulting in one medal. Shooting a few bullets with the assault rifle and finishing them off with a beatdown counts as a beatdown kill.

But only one of those punches can be a kill punch right? If I'm not mistaken you don't get beatdown medals for simply punching people and NOT killing them (otherwise the number of beatdown medals would be somewhere up in the hundreds of billions, probably).

Yes, you only get the medal for the kill.
I just remembered PAX is this week as well, they might be showing stuff there.

I was suppose to be going to PAX this week, but now there is a chance that I won't be able to go :(
