Is infinity slayer the only gamemode with those care packages?
-snipitty snip!-
Is that some kind of halo 4 pre order bonus?
wut?
Is infinity slayer the only gamemode with those care packages?
I think it's only in War Games if I remember correctly or is War Games just normal slayer without the whole VR stuff?
I think it's only in War Games if I remember correctly or is War Games just normal slayer without the whole VR stuff?
War Games is the name of the competitive Multiplayer all together. [editline]4th October 2012[/editline]
Is infinity slayer the only gamemode with those care packages?
I believe multiple playlists/games modes use weapon drops, but not all of them.
War Games is the name of the competitive Multiplayer all together. [editline]4th October 2012[/editline] I believe so, and they're nothing like Care packages, they're just weapon drops.
People are going to hate me for this but come on man. You get a select amount of kills then you press a button and box falls out of the sky. It's not that hard to see the similarity. The only real difference is that you get to pick what you want and I think the area it drops is random but I'm a bit foggy on that.

COD it can be anything, a perk, a kill streak, a weapon. They're nothing alike.

Also you don't select the amount of kills until you get a drop. it is set, and it isn't kills that set it off, it is anything that gives you points, kills assists distractions etc.

They don't fall from the sky, as there is no sky. You're in a simulation on the Infinity. Comparing them to COD Care packages is a huge overstatement. Anything you get in the supply drops are already accessible on the map.
Also you don't select the amount of kills until you get a drop. it is set, and it isn't kills that set it off, it is anything that gives you points, kills assists distractions etc. Which video?
Oh I didn't know that about Kill assists, that's actually pretty neat since now there's more of a point to helping team mates and by select amount of Kills I meant the amount the game set not the amount you set but you proved me wrong on that since it's more about points now than kills.
My bad about the power ups.
Nah It's fine we all get mixed up on stuff.

from what i've seen from game play weapons 'drop' in front of you Now weapons that spawn on the maps themselves are in preset place, they're not random, AFAIK they spawn through out the match in a specific order. But that info is from around first MP Game informer article, it could have changed.

I remember awhile a go 343i said something about there positions being random and it being fair game but they must have changed it to what it is now. Although I could have miss heard that.
Honestly Halo 4 has a way more tame version that actually makes sense. You don't get RANDOM DEATH FROM THE SKY INSTAKILL BECAUSE, you get a shotgun or maybe 5-10 seconds of boost/overshield that may or may not even help you anyways
Wait are you saying the care package is an install kill thing or what's inside of it is?
He says you don't get that in Halo 4.
Get points, get stuff. They're exactly the same, and that's OK. Stop pretending that its different because its halo.
COD it is just kills. It is different.
Get points, get stuff. They're exactly the same, and that's OK. Stop pretending that its different because its halo.
They aren't the same thing though. The Supply drops in Halo 4 give you weapons, and powerup that are already on the map. Nobody is denying the similarities, but they are not the exact same thing.
COD it is just kills. It is different.
There is no absolutely no difference in how they function. Both the care package and the ordinance drop are acquired through points. Saying 'oh its just kills in COD' is grasping at straws. Of course its kills in COD, there are no other ways to earn points.
Guys, it is like killstreaks. That's not necessarily a bad thing. Yes, you can get them from things other than kills but that's not enough to differentiate it entirely. What DOES make it significantly different is that you won't be calling in a gunship that levels everything on the map without you needing to lift a finger. But don't even try to deny the similarities.
Don't you get stuff like UAVs and nukes in CoD with enough kills?
You for starters.
He isn't denying the similarities, hes saying what is different.
