Possibly a downgraded version of the AR like reach supposedly was, but I certainly want the return of the SMG, it was great for those who liked melee, like myself, it was great for peppering up targets before whacking them, never quite got that in reach, due to the lack of bleedthrough with the shields.
I'm usualy almost completely CQB, so something like a carbine or the SMG would be lovely
on an unrelated note, I'm annoyed that fileshares aren't accessible through browser anymore...
On another unrelated note, anyone up for some ODST firefight later, perhaps go for endurance? I always found ODST's firefight much more fun ((GMT))
According to the GI article you'll encounter the UNSC Infinity in Singleplayer as well, so I guess you'll interact with some Spartan 4s.

The fly-in weapons will probably work similar to Invasion Slayer except you don't have to stand in it for 2 decades before anything happens.
I don't get the complaints about Halo 4, but then - I'm arguing with retards on the equivalent of bungie.net.
Instant respawn is a little iffy, I'm gunna miss "boop boop boop BEEP"
Overall Halo 4 is shaping up to be something great though.

Instant respawn is only an option. You can wait to be automatically spawned and presumably listen to the glorious beeps.
Most people won't wait though, because there's no real advantage to waiting it out as opposed to immediately respawning. I found myself constantly skipping killcams in CoD because I could just immediately respawn and keep playing.
I imagine you can disable it fully too.

Although the halo ce rifle had terrible accuracy you could spray down a group of grunts in a few seconds and its 60 round clip was awesome
