[sp] that's still to much [/sp]
[sp]you can't even make out their colour, and you can't see any of his facial structure. He is still very mysterious[/sp]

[sp] OK than that's a little better [/sp]

They're in spoiler tags for a reason...
Really? I thought Contact: Harvest was pretty great since it was written by one of the creators of Halo. I also enjoyed the writing style more than Nylund's.
How am I being Ignorant? I Preferred when the Forerunners were cool because you didn't really know that much about them other then them liking Humans for some reason. That's what made the Halo 3 terminals great because you had to discover them yourself to find out more about what happened to the Forerunners.
... what? You literally just countered your own point DIRECTLY after having made it. Learning about the Forerunner's sucks because it stops them being mysterious, but learning about them through the Halo 3 terminals was fun?
Logic level: SpartanXC9.

Yeah I think it's a bad idea posting with 2 hours of sleep.
But my main point which I didn't get across was that I preferred when the Forerunners were mysterious but I did like discovering what happened to them through my own means. I also liked the hints about Humans being their descendants or favourites and I did not like what the books did to them. Yeah most of my argument doesn't make any sense, point is I don't like the books.
Not really. But I'm also one of the people who didn't want to see [sp]Johns face[/sp] but I guess 343i decided that was a good idea.
Same here. Probably the worst spoiler I could have clicked on. And all this time I had managed to keep clear of them too.
So I wonder what GEN3 will look like, I hope it looks a lot better than GEN2.
wtf 343
Read my posts it probably isn't as bad as you think.
[sp]pretty much all you can tell from the spoiler that everyone is talking about is that master chief is older and a man. all you see are his eyes and like half an inch around his eyes[/sp]
About said spoiler
[sp]Is it even that big of a spoiler, honestly? Yes, we will see chief's face, but if you don't have any pics before you see it in game, whats the problem? I'm going as spoiler free as possible, and I don't mind knowing this.[/sp]
Are you guys shitting me right now. Fucking black paragraphs.
i mean [sp]chief's face is shown in the books already, it's not really too much of a mystery[/sp]
i mean [sp]chief's face is shown in the books already, it's not really too much of a mystery[/sp]
[sp]books are not images, unless you mean the comic books, but then it is only him as a child[/sp]
I only played halo just to play it as a kid, never listening to the story
then this week i have gone through halo 1-2 and the background story
i regret never reading this shit
[sp]books are not images, unless you mean the comic books, but then it is only him as a child[/sp]
[sp]His face is still described in the books if I'm not mistaken. So as long as you're not incapable of forming mental images you should already basically know what he looks like.[/sp]

SPECIES CANDIDATE//LINE RECORD 94:73:02:75
UNGGOY// Sensors at Balaho indicate stability, no off-planet transport recorded since Solipsis. Runners are claiming that Buwan has been abandoned as well, but we’re keeping our eyes on it anyway. Moderate Unggoy populations have been observed in Sangheilian systems at various intervals.
KIG-YAR// Eayn’s native population continues to grow and expand within reasonable governing parameters; its economic and social lines have stabilized in the wake of the war. Muloqt, Kaelarot, and Valyanop, the primary interplanetary colonial sites, all remain static, with little notable movement. There are rumors of mercenaries operating alongside a handful of more conservative Sangheili states, although that has yet to be substantiated.
SANGHEILI// Most intel here originates from ground contacts, but sensors have assisted with validation. The primary issue with the Sangheili is that of discordant cultural symmetry. It is difficult to assess military growth across several dozen active colonial vectors all with disparate political structures. Nevertheless, any and all visible military activity appears to be internecine in nature.
NOTE: A cluster of Sangheili frontier worlds saw a sudden and anomalous convergence of unregistered ships, largely cruisers of varying classes according to a handful of remote relays stationed nearby. By the time sensors were deployed, the ships were gone. The relays can’t assess numbers or strength, but the readings we have indicate that this wasn’t an expeditionary voyage or something tied to a single state. It appears to have been much larger.

so do you think the elites are building up their forces or what?
Buwan translates to month in Tagalog, just how like Unggoy translates into monkey, also from Tagalog. I know this because I'm Filipino.

Why did I click the spoiler, god Im a fucking retard.
[sp]Oh well Im cool with seeing his face, the whole thing of not seeing his face got old, considering we already have enough descriptions of what his face looks like, as long as they dont do some cheesy build up and it just happens naturally im ok with it.[/sp]

Nah they're fucked, constant civil war has torn their planet apart.

It's a really ballsy move on 343's part as I mentioned earlier in the thread, but it's nowhere near as bad as you guys are probably thinking. I actually thought it was a great touch.[/sp]
I come to see what appear to be a wall of black tags, so I click the first in the chain... [sp]meh, that was going to happen at some point. Might as well with this arc and set-up. His face being shown is a major-minor spoiler...[/sp] for me at least.
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/WQFs7.jpg[/thumb]
Mark V for life.
Also is the Mark VII capable of changing shape like the Mark VI? In The Thursday War, its mentioned that the Mark VII looks almost the same as Mark V possibly becuase Naomi is nostalgic to its design, implying thats the shape she wanted.
