Dude, its just character customization.
The few who take advantage of it are 1. Playing Smart and 2. Probably in spots you wouldn't be able to kill them easily anyway like snipers.
FFA kind of playlists are fast paced, if they try and take advantage of the camo they won't get enough kills.

Halo is what ever you want it to be. Don't like loadouts? Select a playlist that sticks to the classic gameplay. Not to mention there is no drastic change in how the games play out. The majority of the weapons are still only available on the map, and not in loadouts. Ask anyone besides me who has played it, most people I talk to about it agree.

Halo 2 and Halo 3 are my favorites.
Welp just finished it in one sitting (it was on easy, I just wanted to catch up on the story). All 6 (ODST and Wars included, chronological order of course) games done, now Im pumped for 4 :dance:
