That can be solved with community maps! Halo 3 was full of them, it was just Reach that had slow implementation. Hopefully it'll get some proper, made-just-for-Infection maps put in shortly after launch.
I wish I could get a few FP members together to make some [editline]26th October 2012[/editline] Holy fuck, has the majority of the forum gone full retard on Halo 4? Shit, it's like the bandwagon all over. The same thing happened with Reach though, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised
I wonder how custom games load outs will work now seeing as they're player controlled and not gametype controlled anymore.

Compared to them, FP's whiners seem like a drop of water in an ocean. [editline]26th October 2012[/editline] and I fucking knew it, couldn't sleep last night :v: was literally just rolling around the bed while the music posted here and a couple of other songs were stuck in my head

does anyone know the year FUD takes place in?
does anyone know the year FUD takes place in?
I forget the exact year but it's 15 or so years before Halo.
I forget the exact year but it's 15 or so years before Halo.
can't be, they couldn't of hid the convenient that long from everyone.
does anyone know the year FUD takes place in?
2526. 1 year after first contact with the Covenant.
can't be, they couldn't of hid the convenient that long from everyone.
What? At that point the war would have hardly been in full swing, and most central planets were fine. Also, as the above poster pointed out the year it takes place in is after only a year of war against the Covenant.
Just watched Episode 4 of FUD, this immediately came to mind :D
I've got to admit, "call me Master Chief," was probably one of the cheesiest things I've ever heard. I really feel like he should have responded in proper military fashion and been like, "Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy". Or, if not that, "John-117." Although I guess they did it for the purpose of familiarising new comers to the series to the characters by the names they'll come to know them as, so I suppose it makes sense in that context. Absolutely loved Chief's method of unlocking the gun cabinets.

[editline]26th October 2012[/editline] It's nice to see them acknowledge that MJOLNIR armor can take pretty much any projectile weapon thrown at it*cough*kat*cough*.
But he isn't the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy...
Uhh, yes he is.
Uhh, yes he is.
No. Master Chief Petty Officer is not the same as Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy, and it's not even remotely close to splitting hairs.
No. Master Chief Petty Officer is not the same as Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy, and it's not even remotely close to splitting hairs.
They're not? Then why is the insignia of MCPON taped next to the '117' scratched into the monument at the end of Halo 3.
They're not? Then why is the insignia of MCPON taped next to the '117' scratched into the monument at the end of Halo 3.
MCPON is a very visible role that would not be given to somebody who's very existence is classified when they are given the rank. There is only one MCPON and he/she acts as the senior NCO of the Navy, and it isn't exactly a combat role. [editline]26th October 2012[/editline] http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/John-117 Just look here.
Fair enough, but that still doesn't explain why the MCPON insignia is taped next to the 117 scratched into the monument.
Because Bungie doesn't know the difference between the insignias? They are hardly military experts, after all.
Because Bungie doesn't know the difference between the insignias? They are hardly military experts, after all.
I figured they would have done their research on that kind of stuff, but fair enough. The point I was getting at was that the Chief's response should have been slightly more serious/official.
I figured they would have done their research on that kind of stuff, but fair enough. I'm willing to forgive it since the rest of the episode was so great. The elite was actually scary while he was toying with them.
The Elites look fucking badass in FUD. I'm looking so fucking forward to seeing the Chief take on that Hunter in part V.
I wonder how custom games load outs will work now seeing as they're player controlled and not gametype controlled anymore.
It's both, they have a game modes that restricts to only gametype loadouts or game modes with both gametype and custom. For example Slayer Infinity is the new gametype that allows for custom as well as 3 preset ones, AR, BMR, DMR. Slayer Pro only gives you the choice of AR, BMR and DMR.
Oh man im stuck at work, cant wait to get home and watch FUD.
The Elites look fucking badass in FUD. I'm looking so fucking forward to seeing the Chief take on that Hunter in part V.
I bet Kelly/Fred shows up at the end, even it's just a cameo. Seeing a team of Spartans take down a hunter would be awesome.
the heck, the elites camouflage was never that seamless in the games. they always had a predator type cloak that was imperfect.
the heck, the elites camouflage was never that seamless in the games. they always had a predator type cloak that was imperfect.
So they didn't, you know, fucking murder you without you even knowing they were there. It's a gameplay mechanic.
So they didn't, you know, fucking murder you without you even knowing they were there. It's a gameplay mechanic.
didnt they show up on [del]radar[/del] motion sensor though?
As far as the whole MCPO/MCPON argument goes. At the end of Halo 3 he was supposedly "posthumously" awarded the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy. http://www.halopedia.org/Spartan-117

It took me a while to figure out what just happened at 01:24, fuck me [sp]The needles totally destroyed her body when they went off[/sp]
