Both really. If he can pick off targets at 300m, then I find it difficult to believe the same guy was overwhelmed by flood while in a squad.

A whole platoon of marines wouldn't last long against the flood, its the unstoppable force of the galaxy, no one has truly beaten it as it always comes back.
Being a good shot doesnt mean shit when you're completely surronded by hundreds of parasites that take you over the second they grab you.
FUD Part 4 was pretty good but it really felt like the only low budget episode so far to me and it was pretty cheesy.

Low budget? Son you might want to rewatch these episodes and think long and hard just how much these props are to make and how much it costs to produce such special fx and cgi. This is hardly low budget.

I want to see a fan made video where they built a fully functional Warthog. Or had a very detailed CGI character react with the environment seamlessly. And if you think their armor looks like it's plastic, then honestly It just sounds to me like your purposefully not enjoying the series and just don't know how to enjoy yourself. To make armor out of the materials it's supposed to be made out of would be ridiculously expensive.
Just enjoy the damn show, or don't watch it at all.
Just got back from a Multiplayer Preview at a local store around my area. Has a gaming area where you can try games out and such. Pretty cool place if I'm honest.
I'm quite impressed, Look's like I'm going to be buying Halo 4 as soon as possible now. I have the money now. I'm pretty sure it was the PAX 2012 build that was being played.

Oh you must have not read my posts when I complimented the series on how good it was.
I wanted to like this episode a lot, not saying I didn't like it, but there was a ton of problems. One being that most of the effect and props were really bad and don't get me started on how cheesy all of Master Chief's scenes were.
Halo: Land Fall did CGI better for the most part. Also that logic is pretty dumb.

It would have been less noticeable without the slomo. Otherwise it sticks out really badly.
