Yeah, the armor in Forward Unto Dawn really does look like plastic. The armor in this ODST trailer blows it away.
Can we start a blog called "Things that Spartan says"?
Oh you must have not read my posts when I complimented the series on how good it was. I wanted to like this episode a lot, not saying I didn't like it, but there was a ton of problems. One being that most of the effect and props were really bad and don't get me started on how cheesy all of Master Chief's scenes were. Halo: Land Fall did CGI better for the most part. Also that logic is pretty dumb.
Thanks Armchair-Director #3425923523, we'll look into it immediately.

They got around the whole armour looking like plastic by always having shadows casted on their armour and only showing it for a few seconds.
Can we start a blog called "Things that Spartan says"?
That would be amazing. Hey did anyone else notice they weren't using the Halo 4 sounds? That's a bit odd since they were using the Halo 4 covenant.
I think a lot of sounds weren't finalized until a couple months ago, so they wouldn't have had access to the final versions.
I enjoy how the Chief is portrayed in this (so far). It's a bit hokey how he steps over small rocks and shit though, he's a fucking tank. Still i've been pleased with Forward Unto Dawn so far, something I didn't think i'd be saying.
'Once an Aristocrat receives his Energy Sword, he is no longer eligible for marriage for ceremonial reasons, but may mate with any female they wish, married or unmarried, in order to pass his "Swordsman" genes down to the next generation and kin.' I like where this is going.
I always laugh when I read that one about the Elites. It shows how uneducated their society is for being so technologically advanced. Hehe, "Swordsman genes", seriously? Even Liquid Snake (Mr. Dominant Genes = Stronger person) understood genetics better than their entire race. [editline]26th October 2012[/editline]
it's frowned upon to spill another's blood out of honorable combat.
Well, that proves my point even further. Elites have a very loose interpretation of "Honorable combat", as shown in FUD and Reach.

Now stick advanced weaponry and equipment onto them and their basically the perfect soldier.
Elites are the smart ones, Brutes are the are the dumb ones that are easy to manipulate.
No really. The prophets had the elites wrapped around their fingers long before the brutes. And then the Arbiter was a prime example of their pride and honor allowing them to be manipulated. Smart? Moreso than brutes. Easy to manipulate? Most definitely.

Brutes are wild on the battlefield in comparison to Elites, but they both make silly mistakes because of arrogance.

Halo CEA on Truth and Reconciliation - Legendary. Got up to the point where you're on the ship and ambushed by a cloaked elite and about 5-6 gold elites. God that was scary. Then 2 hunters come walking in like no bodies business and I actually managed to beat one down. Feels good man. Now fighting through the corridors and can't get down the first hallway. Feels bad. I hate being ambushed from areas I previously cleared/thought to have been empty. Taking a break. Soon Halo, soon I shall conquer you on Legendary. Do skulls stop you from officially beating levels on Legendary?
A funny post from Frankie about his character in FUD http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=43636411&postcount=923

this page now belongs to elites

So much nostalgia of me and my friends just doing co-op legendary with each other, just doing stupid shit like transforming dumpsters into flying machines, or having races in ghosts. It was amazing, just me, my friends, just doing stupid shit. I was always that blue elite, my bro the Arbiter, my friend the Master Chief, and his online friend was the red elite. It was the most fun I've ever had playing Halo, and why my favorite campaign is still Halo 3's.
My friend and I tried so hard to get a mongoose on the Scarab and ride off of it when it explodes. After hours of trying, we succeed. And we get the most awesome screenshot of it.
nah needs more Councilor:
We need more Honor Guard Councilor.
Oh yeah, speaking of Halo 3 dumpsters, I remember a scene where me and my friend were hiding inside the dumpster taking potshots at the Covenant forces while my brother pushed us around with a Warthog. It would look sort of like this, but with a blue elite in there as well: Also, sorry if the image fucks up, it's being hosted on flicker.
