Are there any pre-launch game reviews that contain no spoilers? [editline]28th October 2012[/editline] http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/threads/halo-4-review-spoiler-safe.799119/ Discuss.
Halo 2 is the best followed by Reach and ODST then Halo 3 and Halo1 followed by Halo Wars. Halo 2>Reach>ODST>Halo 3>Halo 1>Halo Wars. I'm not saying Halo 1 is bad or anything I'm just going by atmosphere and story. Although I can't really decide because I love Halo 3 and CE equally but really did not like Halo Wars. Also that guy is an idiot. Why? [sp] because Halo 4 is basically Halo: Combat Evolved [/sp]
Review embargo ends on the 1st, expect reviews to start showing up them.
Viva Pinata was an awesome game so this guy has practically ranked all games pretty high up there.
We need a Halo spinoff that's basically Viva Pinata with grunts and Promethean crawlers.
Also one of the achievements for Halo 4 is named "Give Him the Stick" Could this be a reference to "Give her the dick?"
This is bugging me, how did someone make this?
It's been a while since I've done lego modeling, but maybe a technic-based core ring of those thin flexible tubes, with the actual ring consisting of those bricks with the holes through the middle.
Viva Pinata was an awesome game so this guy has practically ranked all games pretty high up there.
Meh, still not as good as the SNES-N64 era Rare games...though achieving that level is a tad unrealistic.
Its strange to find people that actually liked ODST, I thought it was a pretty good game, although at first I hated it with a passion. I gave up playing it just after I found the helmet in the tv (or somewhere around that point) and I only replayed it recently. Most of the halo fans I know hate it and I can understand why.

I think the real reason people hated it was because of the price, but I got it as a gift, so it doesn't phase me. I didn't have Halo 3 at the time either, so it was a win-win-win.
Yeah, my only gripe with ODST was the price. Everything else I loved. Though if you didn't own Halo 3, you got a pretty great deal out of it.
You know what I don't get? The Halo that was shown off in Halo 4's new trailer has the same design as the ones from Halo 1-3 and Reach. Why doesn't it have the same design as the one from Halo: Anniversary?
They ran out of memory. The halo 1-3 ones are cheaper.
They ran out of memory. The halo 1-3 ones are cheaper.
Well then why bother re-designing them?
One think I'm looking forward to, is finding out how people are going to break out of the SP maps, glitches and what not, exploration.
Oh, and as for my favorite Halo game order: Halo 3>Halo ODST>Halo 2>Halo CE>Halo Reach Halo Reach is a great game, but is still my least favorite Halo game. I found the story to be very rushed, particularly the character development. As characters started to die off, I really didn't care, as I only just met them. Gameplay wise, there weren't many huge, epic battles to be found, and those encounters are one of my favorite things about the series. Instead, there were several scripted events like the Falcon rides, and I hate scripted events, they just suck out all choice the player usually has. As for the Multiplayer, it was a load of fun, but some things didn't work out. Armor Abilities were a nice concept, but some, like the Jetpack and Armor Lock, were kind of broken. Halo CE has fantastic gameplay and atmosphere, but the Campaign was mainly composed of close quarters action in corridors that all looked the same. I might just suck, but I got lost several times throughout the game because of this. Still, the ending Warthog run was legendary, and Multiplayer was pretty fun based on the few times I played it. Halo 2 packed some talented writers, because it had the best dialogue in the series...for the Arbiter levels, at least, and Truth's voice actor made it even better. Seeing a civil war unfold in the Covenant made the story, and the Campaign was just pure fun to play through. I haven't played the Matchmaking in half a decade, but from what I remember it was amazing. For many years Halo 2 was my favorite in the series, but now I see why the next two games are better. Halo ODST has by far the best atmosphere in the series, which starts right at the beginning with the drop pod scene. Being a lost ODST made you feel lonely and weak in a dark, ruined city full of enemies that could easily kill you. About halfway through the game, however, you can start finding vehicles, evening the odds. Finding a Ghost after tediously walking on foot with diminishing ammo for hours was my favorite part of the game. The fact that New Mombasa was open world helped the game tremendously, and makes it arguably the most innovative in the series. Character development was just amazing, especially with Sadie's Story, and finding her father's body frozen in Data Hive was brilliant. Lastly, Firefight. It is sex. Also, you played as an ODST. Halo 3 is my favorite Halo game because I find both the Campaign and Multiplayer nearly perfect, it introduced Forge and Theater, and the level design is beautiful. The story(especially the dialogue) is pretty bad, but the gameplay makes up for it. The reason I didn't like Reach as much was due to the lack of huge, open battles, and Halo 3 is filled with them. I've replayed the Scarab fights dozens of times. Sandtrap and Valhalla make the Multiplayer a blast, combined with new vehicles. The Chopper best come back one day! Theater mode is my favorite addition to the series, so there's also that.
The thing that Reach pulled off, is that most people know at the start that everyone is going to die, yet they still managed to make most of the deaths surprising, and special.
The thing that Reach pulled off, is that most people know at the start that everyone is going to die, yet they still managed to make most of the deaths surprising, and special.
I thought all their deaths were cliche, especially Jorges, it was the exact same death as Sgt Forge.
I think we can all agree though that Rally Point Omega was absolutely amazing and incredible well done.
I thought all their deaths were cliche, especially Jorges, it was the exact same death as Sgt Forge.
I wouldn't know, I didn't play Halo Wars. Though reading up on it, that is incredibly similiar, I see what you mean.

Its much more enjoyable on a vga monitor where I can actually see. I did complete the first mission, I gave up afterwards. [editline]28th October 2012[/editline] I have since completed it twice
Heh, people think that [sp]in Lone Wolf, the final elite that steps onscreen and you can just see their foot is an Arbiter[/sp] That's not true, though, because the transcript says [sp]"The Zealot draws his energy dagger, and finally stabs Six. The foot of a SpecOps Sangheili steps into the frame, and the tips of an Energy Sword appear.[/sp]
Ive been playing through Halo 2 again before Halo 4 comes out, definatly the one of the best soundtracks out there. Great Journey is also my favorite end Halo mission, warthog runs are over rated.
Heh, people think that [sp]in Lone Wolf, the final elite that steps onscreen and you can just see their foot is an Arbiter[/sp]
As if a Fleet Master would even step foot on the ground.
As if a Fleet Master would even step foot on the ground.
he said an Arbiter not the current one
he said an Arbiter not the current one
Thats even more stupid, the Elite looks nothing like an Arbiter.
The thought process goes that Arbiter is left handed, so is the elite at the end. Its pretty flimsy logic.
So I had a friend made a poster for a Launch tournament for Halo 4 at uni. I think it came out rather well.
Oh boy a free muffin!
