True, but but most would say H3 is gone past it's viable Porting timeframe, the only chance it does have is release on windows marketplace, I would imagine.
Wow I just got K/D ratios of 19.00, 8.67, and 3.60. Not in that order.

And my BPR (whatever that is) just bumped up three points, awesome!
Halo is the Xbox's killer app. Without it, it wouldn't be nearly as successful, and Microsoft knows this.
Not anymore, I'm afraid. Halo does still have a huge draw, but the Xbox is now self sufficient without it. More people own the system, and many of them play Call of Duty. Even though it's multiplatform, it would seem that COD now finds most of its success on the Xbox.
Halo does, however, still retain the core fans. If it were 2007 and Halo 3 had just come out, porting would be a business misstep. But it's 2012, we've got another flagship Halo out and the 4th coming out soon. Porting Halo 3 is a bit of a gray area, because it's arguably a niche product, now.

Still, all comments like that do is cause pointless drama.

It shouldn't. If somebody is going to get mad about a fact, then what is the point of them posting?
At least give us PC gamers Anniversary and leave it mod-able.

It honestly would not surprise me if they get around to porting that.

People tend to have different tastes when it comes to gaming, so there is no end-all best system.
I'm pretty sure the base Halo Engine in CEA was a modified Halo PC engine. The end credits seem to point towards it.
Now the graphics overlay engine was by Saber Interactive. I can't find it but Saber was quoted saying they'd be up for doing a PC version.
Down side, no Multiplayer other then Co-Op since we don't have Halo Reach.

Unless...they were to port Reach's multiplayer component over...which would never happen. They might as well just port over the entire game, then.
Why can't they just remake the Halo CE maps with the new game textures? Not a lot of work for such a team.

Halo CE still has limitations on the pc, even though some of it can be replicated with Open Source (which is released by the community). Just reskinning th campaign would look horrible because the graphics engine isn't capable of the things the Sabre engine is capable of.

Who actually owns the rights to Reachs MP? Bungie made it but 343 used it in CEA.

Microsoft owns the IP, so I'm pretty sure it defaults to Microsoft.
Hoping they don't take down Halo 3's multiplayer after Halo 4 comes out.
It's still fun to get on now and again.

Did you really just say what I thought you said.
Just ordered a copy of Halo:CE for PC from Amazon and it's arriving tomorrow. Shit's going to be so nostalgic.

Aww man what did I say?

Apparently 4GB is not enough RAM to run Halo:CE.

Windows 7 compatibility error.
Run it in compatibility mode.
Was anyone in here disappointed by Reach? I played that game for a month straight then realized how bland and stale the gameplay got to me. I just cant play it anymore unless i get friends to play customs.
I pretty much stopped playing Reach after a month or two as well. Don't know why.
I only stopped playing, due to the amount of random pubbies that get put on the same team as myself, which are horrible, I hate having to just generally win the game by myself in matchmaking, I'd rather have people, like in this thread, who know how to play, on the same damn team I am on rather than randoms.
It seems like nearly over half the games, I am in, if I am going solo on matchmaking, I'll get put against people that even if they aren't a full party seem to know what they are doing and be well coordinated compared to my teammates.
Also the new title update sucks, shield bleed through is absolutely bullshit, if I have shields, any at all, I should be protected from a melee attack. And its not just these reasons, its also because Bungie to me, seemed to lost in touch with the community for this game, were where the custom infection maps for infection and the other gamemodes rather than just infection and alpha zombies for example.
I don't know about you guys, but I think Reach's multiplayer is decent. It has all the refined qualities from the previous games, a neat new game mechanic with Armour Abilities, a better matchmaking system and excellent co-op. I'm still playing it almost a year and a half after it came out.
[editline]11th February 2012[/editline]
Not as frequently, of course, but from time to time and when I'm with friends. It's always more fun when you're winning...

Reach is by far the best, simply for its modular nature. As much as I love the other Halo games, I'd be lying if I said it wasn't nostalgia goggles making me say they're superior.
Just played a round of Arena Slayer.
My team was awful, yet I still manage to be top player in the match. Though I didn't do very good. Lol.
