Can someone fill us in on Spartan Ops? Was too busy watching Sony's conference.
New enemies remind me of Bionicle.
Halo 4 MP footage coming in a few. http://www.gametrailers.com/netstorage/e3/live.html

Nice! That was epic preview of Spartan OPs!
Nice! That was epic preview of Spartan OPs!
It was a lot shorter than I thought it would be.
was it just that 2 minute reel they had, or was it a full thing? I missed it.
The Scout Helmet is back from Halo 3 I now love 343i.
I'm wondering if maybe the Promethean Knights observe their 'prey' first before engaging them and then appear to them in a form that they think their prey would find scary/disturbing. Might explain why it opened its 'face' to reveal a skull - try to psychologically damage the opponent if physically doing so failed.
I get the feeling we ain't done with the flood yet, they will be back

And why would you state that? The flood are a important part of the series, sure they won't be in this game but it doesn't mean they could bring them back or other spin-off's/media. Most of the flood were kept in goddamn forerunner structures that were not affected by the halo rings and it's implied they are Precursor, created by them or a outside galaxy lifeform

It starves them, but it cannot kill them.
According to Frankie more Spartan Ops stuff tomorrow in the weekly update. http://carnage.bungie.org/haloforum/halo.forum.pl?read=1141456
Ah, finally, here's a YouTube upload of the Spartan Ops footage.
I take back everything I said 343i is doing a great job now I just need my Scout Helmet and Hayabusa chest. Well not everything but I need that stuff!

Oh jeeze, read the fine print on the website. Halo 4 Multiplayer requires a hard drive that you must install the multiplayer to. Well, it's about time IMO, getting tired of non-installed players bogging down the loading screens for all of us because they're too lazy to install.
Am I the only one that doesn't really like the new look of the spartans? Also, maybe I'm just out of the loop, but why are we fighting covies still?
Am I the only one that doesn't really like the new look of the spartans? Also, maybe I'm just out of the loop, but why are we fighting covies still?
Because some of them still don't like the humans because of the war, and probably continue to believe their religion. It's kind of hard to get over something like that so soon.
I dunno if I'm alone here, but does the Promethean Knight, and the Promethean weaponry, remind anyone else of Metroid Prime? I don't know what the hell it is but they just remind me of MP. Honestly, that's a good thing. The weapons are absolutely badass. The skull inside of the Knight's head was awesome, too. I'm super hyped for November now...

The HUD reminds me of Metroid Prime as well, due to the fact that it actually looks like you're wearing a helmet now.
Am I the only one that doesn't really like the new look of the spartans? Also, maybe I'm just out of the loop, but why are we fighting covies still?
I don't think they look quite as cool, but I thought maybe that was intentional. They probably still want people to look at the Chief and think he's the most badass. To be fair, the SPARTAN IV armour looks a lot more functional and possibly realistic, though. Minimised visor size, large pieces of armour plating, etc. Looks like it'd offer a lot more protection. That said, it's probably still not as good as the SPARTAN II MJOLNIR armour considering each one of those suits, from memory, cost something ridiculous (like the price of an entire fucking cruiser). That's probably why SPARTAN II armour can look so much more stream-lined, because it's not a brute force, 'slap as much plating on as you damn well can' approach, but instead was well thought out each step of the way and was made to be the best it could physically be.
So guys i have been a huge Halo fan since CE, owned every game, book, blah blah blah. But i haven't had a 360 since Reach. I sold it and all the games and have switched over to PC gaming completely. My question is should i just wait till some sort of Halo 4 edition 360 or go ahead and get one now.
Wait, who are the main antagonists for Halo 4? From what I gather it seems to be covenant (again?) and some sort of Forerunner mechs.
Has the ODST helmet been confirmed for Halo 4 multiplayer?
I'd assume it would be in Halo 4. And speaking of ODST, it seems like Promethean Vision is basically VISR 2.0 from the brief glimpse we saw. [editline]5th June 2012[/editline] And I'm not saying that like it's a bad thing.
