Oh god those all look terrible and now that I've got a better view of the scout helmet I take back what I said about it, it looks horrid now. Now everything looks like a downgrade and nothing like an upgrade and it doesn't even look like Halo anymore. God who at 343i thought this looked good?
Actually wait I'm sitting on the fence about the scout helmet since it actually looked alright in-game.

You don't decide what looks like Halo and what doesn't. 343 owns the franchise now, it can be whatever they want it to be.

I don't like the Hazop either, it looks melted. Still, 343 now decides what 'looks like Halo', whether you like the designs or not.

ODST Looks a bit odd now and I take back what I said about Recon, it looks alright.

That particular variant of the VI's are Orbital, which is why they look similar to the ODST helmets. Perhaps they were ODST's in the past.
Like, I really hope he gets some interaction with them on a personal level. Conversations and such. As far as I remember, John has no idea that there are any other Spartans besides him and the remaining SIIs, let alone two other classes of them.
