I'm more interested in Jun and Halsey.
I think Halsey's journal in Heroic Edition mentions him dying in a pelican crash or something

There is actually no mention of him at all past him flying off with Halsey.
Frank O'Connor said Juns fate might not ever be discovered.
Infiltrator helmet best helmet

Future DLC? "Halo 4: Return of the Russian Sniper." :V
Cortana is surely rampant at this time.
So are there any aliens that still like us or don't want a freaking fight instead of the Arbiter and the Engineers.
So are there any aliens that still like us or don't want a freaking fight instead of the Arbiter and the Engineers.
The elites that returned to their homeworld made a peace treaty.
So are there any aliens that still like us or don't want a freaking fight instead of the Arbiter and the Engineers.
Well the elites know that they are royally fucked if they let us get our own shit together before they do. Brutes were orbital negotiated into stone age and remains as occasional stragglers here and there, the shan'yuum (or whatever the prophet's race was called) are mostly busy being dead, few survivors at most. Legologo or whatever the hunters were are sticking with elites for now, which are going throught what can be roughly describted as the covenant's equilevant of the collapse of Soviet Union on a galactic scale. Everything is falling apart.
And the grunts are the slaves as usual?
I think Halsey's journal in Heroic Edition mentions him dying in a pelican crash or something
that'd be a really lame way to go. everybody else on your former squad dies heroically on reach and you die in a crash
I'm thinking of reading the collection of Halo books again. I've had these things for years but never really got far into them
And the grunts are the slaves as usual?
It's implied that they're no longer slaves, but have been a client race for so long that they're still at the whims of the Sangheili.
The problem with the Covenant collapse is the whole fall of the caste system. Elites haven't been a self supporting society for 2,000 years. Now, not only do they need a new government, but their primary purpose (to fight wars on behalf of the Covenant) is gone, and their society is left with few doctors, engineers and scientists. The same is going on for the rest of the Covenant, except for the Hunters because of the nature of their society.
Do Hunters even have a real society? How intelligent are individual Lekgolo?
In the UK we tend to write 6th November 2012
The US military tends to use this order, or an abbreviated form (ex: 6Nov2012 ).

This made me chuckle.

Its actually very interesting, people understandbly think they are very stupid. They were tier 3 before the covenant found them, the same level as 26th century humanity. This means they were ahead of brutes, jackels, drones, grunts and such. And I even found a webpage to back me up: http://www.halopedian.com/Technological_Achievement_Tiers
Also, they have a complex society, having bond brothers, family names, etc.

The bond brothers and names stuff was about the colonies, I'm thinking about individual Lekgolo
Don't they usually work in pairs, even outside of combat?
Don't they usually work in pairs, even outside of combat?
Yep. Mostly because individual hunters are comprised of one split colony, or so I remember. Scarabs can operate by themselves, and they're controlled by lekgolo.
Her shields were down from EMP or whatever

A radiation flare but yeah.
Was that represented visually in game or anything? I didn't notice any shields flashing during the cut scene. Even then, it still went through her armour in one shot, they don't do that during game play.

Dramatic flare is used rather liberally in Halo.

Head shots without shields are always a 1 shot kill
Helmets are pretty redundant in Halo as far as gameplay goes
It just seemed strange to me that she died from a single needler crystal, but if it fits the game then that's fine by me.
Also, I'm willing to bet this is the Covenant faction of the game. The Servants of Abiding Truth, from Glasslands.
anybody think thel vadam will make an appearance in halo 4?
probably not, but i mean, it's not completely impossible
i very highly doubt it

Which is kinda funny when all evidence points to Humanity being a planned successor of the forerunners...then again they might even see us as even more hostile if they ever find out the ancient humans joined up with the prophets and tried to wage war on forerunners .
I really want to see more of the Ancient humans
Erm, no.
Also, new RvB

Seems that any multi-platform game is confirmed to be but honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Halo 4 was in the same situation. I'm not mocking it, just putting it out there as a possibility. Bring on the 'dumb' ratings from raging halo fans. :v:
It's implied that they're no longer slaves, but have been a client race for so long that they're still at the whims of the Sangheili.
Grunts are being grunts and without any real unifying cause, and are simply took by the remaining covenant or separatists.

Shangheili are something like this; "BUILD HOUSERU? I AM NO PEASANT! SHAMEFUR DISPRAY IN THE NAME OF FAMIRY AND WARRIORITY. COMMITTING SEPPUKU"
Everything was built, maintained, and engineered for them by the engineers, the floating bellyfishes with japanese imagination thrown into the mix. Only their women can do something, thought they have their own set of honor code to follow. The farming was done by grunts for them, and since the common strategy had them basically being tossed towards whatever happens to be a target, few remains in separatist ranks.
Oh, and doctors? SHAMEFUR DISRPAY. Any wound a warrior takes he heals it itself or ding dong seppuku, they only have medicine for bacterias, diseases 'n' shit. Probably even those have to be sneaked into their food so that they wouldn't have to burn down their keep and their whole family to retain the honour.
Science was done by the prophets, aaaand maybe the jackals did a bit too. Jackals were the only race in the covenant that wasn't fucking pants-on-head retarded, had their own system colonized already when the covenant found them. They were pretty much the mercenaries of the Covenant and couldn't give two fucks about their shitty religion, they tagged along for the profits. Althought they are naturally even more greedier than humans, and basically buys, sells, and borrows everything that isn't bolted onto titanium-reinforced concrete floor. Can be summarized as Galactic traders and pirates, or space gypsies. They are probably the only ones in the civil war to not suffer from the collapse.

Needle Rifle. It was a lame as shit death but thats because Noble were the worst group of characters ive ever seen in Halo.
Theres no development at all just, heres a bunch of spartans, watch them die.

They didn't hate humans though did they? Unless they found out what happened to that Jul fellow, they seemed to imply they did right at the very end when one of them is speaking to Phillips.
