Possibly. It would also explain how they are able to replicate the Forerunner Tech in the simulations. Feels like that would take a while.

To be fair the humans were just as dickish, instead of warning the Forerunners of the Flood threat and maybe combining their might, they start to attack Forerunner worlds.
And they deleted any hope of beating the Flood just to spite the Forerunners.

Unsubscribing was the worst hassle I've ever been through, it'd almost be easier just to cancel my credit card. I had to call tech support to unsubscribe because they've removed the feature from everywhere else, and they've made the call cost money. And Live is so expensive, I don't know if I want to go through with all that again, even not for Halo 4. Especially not for some nostalgia rounds of Halo 3.

Check your dashboard and see if you have the 2 dollars for two month promo. Thats how I got live the other day.

Lets see a halo game that isn't often played... hmm... Aha, fire fight. I havn't played that in a long while, any one up for a game? Maybe lots of skulls enabled too? Though, i won't be available till tuesday.
I love firefight, the enemies I'm fighting don't have the same skill as human players, so I get a much better score at the end of the round.
Its a shame they're cutting firefight. I don't play it very often but its great for when no one is online.
