I think some gamemodes it shouldn't be available like Slayer, no one wants to join a game where the leading guy has 24 kills.

I play Halo for a competitive experience, for matches start to finish. They relegate mid-match joins to a few playlists? Cool, I just won't touch those playlists. But if it's across the board then we'll have a serious issue.

I 102% agree!
The single thing that got me angry in Halo's multiplayer was the lack of drop-in drop-out joining. Somehow it was always my team that had everyone quit and since I took it my mission to never quit mid-game, I played way too many me versus 4 other people matches.

I reckon the mid match joining will probably be used in social game modes like Big team battle and shit.
4 v 4 games and lower tend to have less chance of people dropping out from my experience.
