Out of curiosity, do enemies and wildlife respawn after a while when they're killed? I've noticed a lot of so-called "sandbox" games think it's funny to just let the world stagnate and die when you get powerful enough.
I beat the survival map after a couple tries. My strategy: 1. Build warrior/cleric guild on the west side of the castle (where the bearmen come from) 2. Build rogue guild on the east side 3. Ranger guild on the south/southeast side 4. Market on the north side 5. Now for towers: make 3 on the road where the ogres come from (southwest side of the castle), then 1 on each other road that leads away from the castle 6. Blacksmith near the market, get all the gear from it 7. Upgrade the guilds and get the abilities 8. Palace level 2 9. Get the next level of blacksmith gear 10. Palace level 3 11. Dwarf guild wherever 12. Make a dwarf tower or two wherever the bearmen are attacking 13. If you think you need it, add more dwarf towers at any other problem areas 14. If you haven't won by now, build a Krypta temple to the north: the necromancer chicks are godlike Flag any monster lairs/ogres/bearmen you see as you go.
Thanks for the tips. Pre-purchased, thoroughly enjoying my free copy of Majesty Gold. What a deal! I love free shit! It's like the illusion of income.
I love how they kept some of the old sound effects, for flag placement etc. Especially the Tax Collector "GoLD yOUr MAjeSTY"

They kept all the dying lines, too. LEAVE MY GOLD... ALONE
they also add in some new lines too... "have you finish reading your *insert rest here*"
They kept all the dying lines, too. LEAVE MY GOLD... ALONE
I thought the rogue was a dude in Majesty 1.
Yeah, but the line is still the same.
Played the demo and thought it was pretty awesome. I like how you can't directly control your people. It makes them feel alive and just overall makes it more believable that you're a king, and not a man with the remote control that has a direct up-link to your people's minds. [editline]01:09AM[/editline] is the first one any good? might check that out.
Well, just got to day 75... those level 15-20 rangers are just plain beast.
Is the NA released?
Yep. Just picked up a copy.
None of the stores near me have it in stock...
Odd.
How is the MP scene?
Nvm, Wal-Mart has it. They just didn't update it on the website. :D
It comes out on my birthday :D.
I just found out that rogues are beasts... a level 10 rogue with all upbraids can easily kill an ogre. I now start with about 3 rogue guilds and win easily. They also seem to never die because of their speed.
If you think rogues are powerful, make a priest of Krypta. They will never die past level 5.
I thought this came out on the 18th
15th in US, 18th in europe.

How long does a typical game of this last? From the demo, it seems like each game is a lot shorter than I would like, but then again it was a survival map and a tutorial, so obviously there will be longer instances. I mean, is it the type of game that you might spend quite a long time on in a single map? I doubt I'd enjoy it if you were constantly starting a new map because you win too fast or something.
My computer won't be able to run it. D:

Also, there's no skirmish option. Ugh.
THEN WHY CAN'T I BUY IT THROUGH STEAM RAGEEEEEEEE
caps

Because they're not allowed to release it.
Afaik, Majesty 2's going to be mostly centered around the multiplayer. Pretty big gamble on the dev's part really.
