Ace Of Spades V2:Version Mismatch or Map Transfer Fail - Games

On the server list, I'm seeing a server that has 254/18 people. [IMG]http://i.cubeupload.com/wzJGgr.png[/IMG] Can someone explain this to me? Has someone figured out how to get that many people in one server? I can't seem to join, but would be amazing if I could.

Just joined, there were only a few people online. Unless the slots thing is reversed, ofcourse :v:

Played this with FP and /v/ back when it was flavor of the month... Now it's kinda really terrible though, it somehow got closer to cawadooty than to what it was in the beginning, a WW1 bunker-building simulation. Also, custom maps are fucking terrible...

Its great right now. It was never a WW1 bunker building sim, since everyone has semi autos.

He's really good with scripts, he's actually created some half decent bots. Hes an admin on the server "Shams little Pony", so if you can bear a few Bronies then you might find some of his scripts. Also, to those saying the custom maps are shit, don't play on Jestservers, Goon Haven, or Most of aloha (besides TOW). Quite a few other servers host decent maps such as Minit US and Aloha TOW.

SMGs were used in WWI, so I don't see the problem. [editline]12th April 2012[/editline] Funnily enough the My Little Pony servers are the best IMO, everyone is nice and polite, and the battles are intense and filled with teamwork.

I don't mind the extra weapons, really. I just hate how the game had changed dramatically, back when it just started you'd be sneaking around on the map much more often, you'd have tactics, people actually spoke the same language and they would even join you in your attack/defense. But now that rarely happens.

I feel the problem seems to be the community now. The game itself hasn't changed to the point where gameplay is different, the community has. A good chunk of the players are under the age of 13, and don't seem interested in teamwork. TC mode has created an efficient and fun teamwork mode, but of course maybe 3 out of the 80 servers host it. Even the forum community can be a bit harsh. Every time ben changes something there is almost always 3-4 threads raging about something everyone called for at the last update.

Reinstalled this game back from when it was like .64 Got new mods and redownloaded Spadille. It seems like people don't build anymore. Whatever team I'm on the just rush towards the enemy with no teamwork or strategy. Also, I probably have the worst accuracy.

No, I knew they will be making mirrored maps with pre-built structures and game will go full CoD - and most of all, with generated maps being barely hosted anywhere, Green and Blue lost their true identity - they're now simply two different colors. We'd sneak around and build bunkers and do squad assaults on the enemy base. It got more fun when you'd meet en enemy squad doing the exact same thing. Doesn't sound like that happens any more..

Again, its all in the servers you choose. I highly suggest you stick away from tdm servers or large chain servers. Minit EU hosting default, full server, go go go

Someone should host an older version of the game, back when it was actually goos.

I'd say maybe 20-30 aimbotters out of the normal 1,500 people playing, and they usually stick to shitty servers or get caught.

Still not a good game since the focus was taken away from build your own trench warfare - vietcong tunnels edition to COD: Blocks. Where is the fervent nationalism? I remember when people used to curse eachother out and make propaganda but now, no more. I remember me and another dude banded the entire server together to literally destroy an entire mountain by mining away at its base. We almost did it before the server crashed, too.

Well, even if it's WW1 no more, the update looks quite interesting. Hopefuly there would be work on an actual WW1 mod that would be based on "classic" gameplay.
